Laser Driven Lightcraft——Combining Air-Breathing with ALP

Abstract:A theoretical analysis is conducted of phenomena derived and shot by CCD camera in our experiments. The physical mechanisms and theoretical models of laser ablation are discussed; and an effective combination of air-breathing laser propulsion with ablative laser propulsion (ALP) is proposed and its feasibility is demonstrated.
