Abstract:This article demonstrates how to develop a Microchip PIC16F84 based device that supports RS-232 interface with PC. Circuit (LED Board) design and software development will be discussed. PicBasic Pro Compiler from microEngineering Labs, Inc. is used for PIC programming. Development of LED Board Control Console using C/C++ is also briefly discussed. The project requires basic work experience with Microchip PICs, serial communication and programming.

Abstract:The method of control 240128 lCD with built-RA8803 controller through serial port by PIC32MX microcontroller was described.How to use the serial port to transmit commands to LCD and the ways of use LCD to display texts,picutres and custom graphics were expounded in detail.The hardware connection diagram and key parts of the source code were given.Test results showed that this method could achieve the desired objectives.Seven I/O ports have been saved compared with drive directly by parallel ports.

Abstract:Multiple pulse position modulation （MPPM） is one of the most popular modulations for indoor visible light communi- cation using LED, which has the advantages of high power efficiency, low bandwidth and strong resistance to interference. In order to implement the indoor visible light communication using LED by MPPM, first, the principle of the MPPM and the mapping methods have been analyzed. On this basis, the MPPM modulation and demodulation have been completed by using the CPLD （complex programmable logic device）device, which code word is composed of the synchronous signal and the MPPM signal, and the demodulator uses a digital phase locked loop to extract the bit synchronous signal with CPLD. Finally, we com- plete the MPPM modulation and the demodulation experiments, which show that the MPPM decoding meets the communication requirements, and the results are reliable.

Abstract:A zoology illumination system for LED intelligent control based on PLC was construct,the method of zoology illumination system for LED、display and control were proposed.The module's circuit was schemed out and the key control program was given.Using photosensitive resistance,the collection information of comparatively brightness was sent PLC,according to FXPLC communication protocol,uses the ladder diagram programming,pick up the PLC data storage unit、LED driver and control of zoology illumination system for crop plants.The result shows that the illumination is stable、the energy saving surpasses 50% and the efficiency is very obvious.
PLC-Based Bit Combination of Components and Function Instruction Methods Achieve LED Digital Tube Display

Abstract:As the complexity of the traditional digital logic decoding relationship,a PLC-bit combination components method and a seven-segment decoding function instruction method are proposed to display digital LED.The first method is used to display digital bit-combination components by group using four decimal BCD code.The second method is used to drive digital display via coding hexadecimal number of corresponding four low bit of certain component using seven-segment decoding instruction.The two methods are logically simple,understandable and achievable.

Abstract:The PPI communication protocol is the most widely used one of the several ways in the Siemens PLC communication.The communications between PLC and MC90S08PT60PB uses PPI protocol,and the data transfer and instruction inform between PLC and MC90S08PT60PB are realized with hardware and software.The hardware circuit uses commonly used SN75176 chip,and software uses Code Warrior IDE to develop and compile MC9S08PT60P program,so as to realize the application of serial communication and complete automation control.

Abstract:A LED lighting system which can automatically switch and regulate its brightness of lighting according to the light intensity,infrared radiation and temperature was presented.C8051F020 MCU was used as the system controlling core.A silicon photovoltaic cell and an integrated operational amplifier were used to design the light intensity sensor.A pyroelectric module was selected as the infrared wireless sensor,and DS18B20 was used as the temperature sensor.Besides,a LCD was used to display the working information.Experimental results show that the system can automatically shut down when light intensity is above 2 170lx or when temperature is above 82.5 ℃,and switch on when light intensityls below 1 040 lx or when temperature is below 49.3 ℃.When the light intensity is fluctuates from 1 000 lx to 2 000lx,the brightness of the LED lighting system can automatically adjust to maintain the basic stability of the environment illumination.

Abstract:LED is regarded as one of the best potential light sources for next-generation lighting. In LED applications, Power Line Communication (PLC) is one of the popular communication techniques, which is used to control the complex lighting system. In this paper, a general LED lighting system based on a novel PLC technology, which is named as P-BUS, is presented. It is made up of four main parts: the master controller, the slave controller which controls the LED module, the DC-DC module and ancillary devices. The communication mode, protocol architecture, circuit structure and frame definition of P-BUS technique are covered and discussed. The control method of the system is introduced. Compared with other communication methods, the proposed P-BUS has many advantages such as fewer communication wires and components, simpler circuit topology and strong interference rejection. A prototype is given to show the advantages of the proposed solution and global system performance is also analyzed.

Abstract:To improve the feedback precision of the photoelectric encoder and remove the disturbance of the rectangular waveform,a photoelectric encoder measuring system based on complex programmable logic device(CPLD) was offered,which had the ability of frequency multiplication and filtering.The photoelectric encoder measurement principle was introduced.The system was divided into three modules,including filtering phase,frequency and the counter.These three modules were designed and simulated.The simulation results show that the design methods meet signal processing requirements of high-precision servo motor orthogonal coding.

Abstract:The light emitting diode (LED) chip spectrum inspection is a key technology in LED chip scaled manufacturing. According to the principle of spectrum inspection and aiming at the demand of applications of LED chip spectrum inspection, the present paper studies the spectrum acquisition system based on complex programmable logic device (CPLD). The CPLD, the main chip, provides the working timing signal to the linear charge coupled device (CCD) and controls the signal modulating, conversion and storage, and transmission of sampling rate and data in transfer module. The system adopts raster monochromator as prismatic parts of apparatus and linear CCD as photoelectricity conversion parts to inspect the opposite spectrum energy distributing curve, and mean while calculate the spectrum parameter of LED chip photics characteristic. Based on the CPLD , the LED chip spectrum acquisition system with the virtues of simplicity and celerity satisfies the precision request of LED chip spectrum inspection.

Abstract:By analyzing the current serial communication, used in a popular monitor system composed of PC, GOT and PLC, introduced a new design and implementation plan of serial communication based on Vb and Programming Interface Protocol.System achieved the efficient, stable and reliable communication under simple attachment without any mitsubishi's special communication board.The communication applied mitsubishi FX series PLC programming interface protocol, no longer need to set up the D8120, simplified the PLC program; Under this protocol and based on VB6.0 development environment，write the serial communication program adapt to FX full series，the program make the PC can read/write the PLC soft equipment and forced ON/OFF directly.In the actual application, No matter accuracy and stability of communication were to achieve requirements of industrial control system.

Abstract:Light Emitting Diode (LED) is widely used in garden landscape decoration because of its small size, low power, concentrated light, and the capability of showing more vivid colors. While designing the LED lighting system, considering that a single Advanced RISC Machine (ARM)-based control system cannot achieve large-scale LED display, and a single Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-based control system cannot control the lighting system well, an LED system with the combination of ARM processor-FPGA is proposed. In this system, the ARM processor is used as the major control component. The Linux system realizes remote monitoring and intelligent management of image data. In addition, FPGA is used for LED data output. The lighting system consists of a major control node and a lighting node. The nodes are connected in parallel through a chain network. The major control node uses an ARM Cortex processor and is equipped with a Linux operating system. The lighting node uses ARM + FPGA hardware architecture. During the experiments, the LED lighting system is tested first. The results show that the reading and writing speed is fast. The LED display screen meets the lighting requirements. This LED lighting system is used for night lighting of garden landscapes. During the brightness test, the brightness of lighting objects and the background is used as research objects. Experiments have proved that the ratio of the lighting object brightness to the background brightness between (Yu, M. and Li, X., 2012. Abstract:In order to reduce the development cycle of embedded PLC and enhance it's general purpose and expansibility,we develop the programmer for the embedded PLC in C language.Using this software,we can define signals , choose parameters, compile ladder graphics and get an integrated program of PLC.With a double linked list data structure to describe and record different information of the ladder graphics,the full-screen editting function in the form of a Chinese menu is realized.The software has been successfully applied to the tracing milling machine tool.

Abstract:PLC programs provide precise control over machinery and industrial processes. They dictate how equipment operates, ensuring tasks are performed accurately and consistently according to predefined parameters. In this project, I create the PLC program for a Mitsubishi PLC and design the HMI screen template using Mitsubishi HMI software for a vision checking system integrated with linear servo motorsTop of Form. In vision checking system with linear servo motors inspects PCBA and wiring using a vision camera moved by a servo gantry system. Safety measures are implemented. The program includes auto, manual, and homing sequences, along with mode selection, error handling, counter, shift, and tower lamp functions. HMI screens are designed to teach machine operation. In auto mode, servos move to positions set in the HMI recipe screen. Manual mode allows servo jogging and movement between positions via the HMI servo screen. Pressing the homing button moves servos to user-set home positions. Safety measures, including light curtains, door switches, and fixture sensors, halt the machine and sound a buzzer in case of errors. Counter and shift programming displays running shift and component counts. Programs are tailored to input/output device operations. Key Words: PLC Programming, HMI Screen designing.

Abstract:The teaching programmable logic controller based on microcontroller was developed.The system could be programmed by the upper computer,and it was able to save the instructions from the upper computer to EEPROM of lower computer in order.After programming,it could escape the control of upper computer to work independently according to the self-designed instruction system.This instrument could control 24 general-purpose switch signals or 8 high-power switch signals,cover 8-channel analog signals to digital signals,and display on LCD.The instrument improved the teaching effect obviously in the experimental course such as modern optical-electro-mechanical systems.
