Abstract:Self-organized TiO2 nanotube arrays (TNTs) were fabricated by anodizing the Ti foil using a square wave pulse in a HF + H2SO4 solution. The influence of pulse potential and duration on the morphologies and the electronic properties of the TNTs were systematically investigated by SEM, Raman spectra, XRD, EIS and Mott-Schottky plot. SEM results showed that the TNTs appeared in the case of anodizing Ti foil at an initial lower potential, and then at a higher potential. Otherwise, TNTs became degraded and even to disappear thoroughly. EIS and Mott-Schottky results showed that increasing pulse duration and higher pulse potential can increase the corrosion protection of the TNTs, and the crystallinity of the TNTs also obeyed this trend.
