The Process Evaluation of Peer Education in Community Intervention of Hyperlipidemia

Abstract:Objective In order to study the effect of peer education in community intervention of hyperlipidemia.Method 67 hyperlipidemia patients(male 14,female 53,mean age 58.68±6.76) were selected as the followers of peer education.Peer education was carried out in this study.Process evaluation was conducted for improving the quality of the study.Results The result showed that the attendance rate was 62.7%,program effectiveness index(PEI) was 0.89,and the mean evaluative scores of peer education program given by program supervisor and educated persons were 4.67 and 4.95 respectively.Conclusion The study showed that the program worked well,and the peer education was effective and welcomed in community intervention of hyperlipidemia.
