Current Progresses on Inorganic Porous Separation Membranes

Abstract:Inorganic membranes ,as a new kind separation media exhibit a series of superior advantages to their polymer analogues. Recently, Both of porous and dense membranes have got great progress. This paper reviews the present status of research and development of porous separation membranes and perspectives of the future. Some new progresses of micro-filtration, ultra-filtration, nano-filtration and zeolite membranes are discussed. The emerging application of porous ceramics membranes in gas-solid separation was briefly reviewed.
