Abstract:The plasticity processing property of magnesium alloys,the latest developments and the trend of magnesium alloys wires formation technique are explored.The plasticity of magnesium alloys is greatly affected by the deformation temperature,load form and grain size.The plasticity of magnesium alloys can be obviously improved in three dimensional compressive stress states and by increasing the deformation temperature,so the hot extrusion is a feasible plastic forming method of magnesium alloy wires.Although the tensile stress states during extrusion forming process puts the plasticity of magnesium alloys at a disadvantage,the temperature of magnesium alloys can be quickly increased and the grain size of magnesium alloys can be greatly refined under the action of external fields,so the plasticity of magnesium alloys can be obviously improved.As a result,the trend of magnesium alloys wires formation technique lied in the new drawing technique under the action of external fields.
