Abstract:In this paper, a SDRAM controller for video capture system has been implemented in FPGA. Video data stream is stored into SDRAM via It's controller. The controller is optimized for video data stream and the access to the SDRAM is accelerated.

Abstract:The implementation of SDRAM controller for embedded real-time image processing system is presented.According to the request of data transmission rate and continuity in real-time system,SDRAM is programmed with full-page burst mode and asynchronous FIFOs are used as data buffer between FPGA and SDRAM.The pipeline architecture based on ping-pong operation,which can achieve seamless temporary store,is introduced to cooperate with the full-page burst mode and make full use of SDRAM′s high-efficient access property.This method is applied to a real-time infrared thermal imaging system and the result shows that this controller has the features of high executing efficiency,less resources occupation and powerful portability.

Abstract:In this article,the structure and control sequence characteristics of SDRAM are de- scribed,and the critical techniques in the design of SDRAM controller based on FPGA are intro- duced.The characteristics,the initial mode and the state machine of the SDRAM controller are described.The scheme can extend the FPGA's memory capacity and is more economic.It is pro- grammed by VHDL and the basic theory is applicable to other SDRAM.In order to control the SDRAM more effectively,two pieces of SDRAM should be switched to read and write in the de- sign.

Abstract:The paper introduces the research trend for the access bottleneck between the data intensive computing architecture and memory. Aiming at the high needs for the data intensive computing architecture’s access to memory, an integrated DDR SDRAM controller is presented and prototyped in FPGA. The key points for the DDR SDRAM controller are a fixed initiation procedure and its dedicated custom system bus. Simulation results and analysis demonstrate the controller basically conquers the access bottleneck between the data intensive computing architecture and memory.

Abstract:To meet the demands of application situation of mass data throughput,this paper researches memorizing control algorithm which supports high treatment efficiency and data continuous read/write operation,and uses Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) to design SDRAM embedded control algorithm.The controller uses CMD order mode,assigns time-delay of continuous read/write based on burst length,enhances the data processing efficiency by team working between data channel control and read/write operation.Testing results show that running frequency of this controller is higher than 100 MHz,data processing efficiency is above 95%,and it applies to data buffer of video acquisition and large size display control of LED.

On the other hand, conventional analog video processing method, due to its intrinsic limitations, can not meet the requirement of high quality and high speed operation. Abstract:A SDRAM controller for wireless fusee body-target video frequency echo simulator is designed based on FPGA. In this SDRAM controller, the burst length is 120 words, and its internal operation is also different from the full page burst,which adopts inner logic to send out terminate and precharge commands at fixed period- It has been demonstrated that the controller can achieve an operating frequency up to 100 MHz, satisfying the demand of the system for high-speed download of large volume of data.

Abstract:In order to expand the SDRAM's storage capacity of the TS-101 processor, a method is proposed for implementing the SDRAM controller based on FPGA. The characteristics of the corresponding SDRAM are analyzed and the schematic diagrams and the timing are given. The function of modules and performance of SDRAM storage board are described. The design method of modularization is adopted in FPGA. This design expands the SDRAM's storage capacity of the TS-101 processor to 512Mbytes.

Abstract:For the rapid acquiring and processing of the high-resolution catadioptric panoramic images,synchronous dynamic random access memory(SDRAM) is an important device of data cache.The correct control for it affects whether the whole system can work properly.A design of dual-SDRAM controller based on field programmable gate array(FPGA) was proposed by analyzing the SDRAM parameters and the principle of operation.In Ping-Pong mode,the system can collect images by turns and thereby accomplish real-time panoramic image acquisition,buffering and resolving with 2048 dpi×2048 dpi,15fps,based on camera Link interface.The system also can accomplish real-time display with 1024 dpi × 768 dpi.

Abstract:This paper carried out the HDTV system-on-a-chip architecture and several design policies of SDRAM controller based on analysis of hardware implementation performance of video standard codec, including scheduling policy and bandwidth utilization-aware optimization. Two stage request pool together with fixed priority policy settle the problem of shared resources conflicts; changed FSM architecture with 2 banks hide cas latency which advances bandwidth utilization; all nop states are combined to a single state to make the implementation reuse by reconfiguration.

Abstract:In this paper,a method of image data processing for PAL→VGA real-time video acquisition system is des-cribed.According to the former method of real-time video acquisition system usually using two SDRAM for ping pong cache,a design method of one SDRAM controller which uses different BANK of SDRAM for ping pong operation is proposed.By using the alternating BANK access operation of SDRAM and using instruction count to convert the read and write state of SDRAM,PAL→VGA real-time video acquisition system uses one SDRAM to realize image cache successfully.The design is well applicable to image data processing for the real-time video acquisition system.

Abstract:For different applications,sampled data may contain different type signals,which need varied data frame structure to be processed.Therefore,flexible storage and reconstruction of the sampled data for dada processing are needed.A structural state machine was designed for storage control of SDRAM,which is based on a file structure data cache storage program with FPGA.Likewise,a reconstruction module of data frame structure is also realized.This new design is applied in a practical system with good performance in speed and reliability,and it also can be easily used in other storage systems with its flexibility.

Abstract:In order to access image data in digital image processing based variable spray system,A SDRAM controller with data,address and control bus interface is designed using FPGA chip.Finite state machine and modular design was used,and the controller was divided into the initialization state machine and the reading and writing command control state machine.Modlesim and quartus was used for the design verification,the results show that the controller can work at a max frequency of 135 MHz.Because of its simple interface and high speed access characteristic,the controller can meet the variable spray system image data real-time access requirements.
