Abstract:We study the asymptotics of Ohsawa-Takegoshi extension operator and orthogonal Bergman projector associated with high tensor powers of a positive line bundle. More precisely, for a fixed complex submanifold in a complex manifold, we consider the operator which associates to a given holomorphic section of a positive line bundle over the submanifold the holomorphic extension of it to the ambient manifold with the minimal $L^2$-norm. When the tensor power of the line bundle tends to infinity, we obtain an explicit asymptotic expansion of this operator. This is done by proving an exponential estimate for the associated Schwartz kernel and showing that this Schwartz kernel admits a full asymptotic expansion. We prove similar results for the projection onto holomorphic sections orthogonal to those which vanish along the submanifold.

Abstract:For a continuous function, we prove that the function is pluriharmonic if and only if the equality part of the optimal Ohsawa--Takegoshi $L^2$-extension theorem is satisfied with respect to the metric having the function as a weight. This partially resolves the conjecture proposed by the author.

Abstract:We find a precise relationship between the minimal extensions in $L^2$ and $L^p$ Ohsawa-Takegoshi extension theorems. Abstract:The celebrated Ohsawa--Takegoshi extension theorem for $L^2$ holomorphic functions on bounded pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb C^n$ is a fundamental result in several complex variables and complex geometry. Ohsawa conjectured in 1995 that the same theorem still holds for more general bounded complete Kähler domains in $\mathbb C^n$. Recently, Chen--Wu--Wang confirmed this conjecture in a special case. In this paper we extend their result to the case of holomorphic sections of twisted canonical bundles over relatively compact complete Kähler domains in Stein manifolds. As an application we prove a Hartogs type extension theorem for plurisubharmonic functions across a compact complete pluripolar set, which is complementary to a classical result of Shiffman and can be seen as an analogue of the Skoda--El Mir extension theorem for plurisubharmonic functions -- a result that has been vacant since at least 1985.

Abstract:This paper tackles \textit{N. Oda}'s extension problems for the homotopy groups $\pi_{39}(S^{6})$, $\pi_{40}(S^{7})$, and $\pi_{41}(S^{8})$ localized at 2, the issues having eluded resolution for more than four decades. We introduce a tool for the theory of determinations of unstable homotopy groups, namely, the rectangular Toda bracket, by which we are able to solve the extension problems with respect to these three homotopy groups.

Abstract:The following paper is around parts of the first named author's thesis. We discuss (what we call) a Hilbert bundle approach to complex Brunn-Minkowski theory and obtain a general monotonicity theorem. As two applications, we prove a generalization of Guan's sharp strong openness theorem and a sharp Ohsawa-Takegoshi extension theorem. A second proof of Guan-Zhou's strong openness theorem using a Donnelly-Fefferman estimate is also given.

Abstract:Using the result of the error estimate of the simple extended Newton method established in the present paper for solving abstract inequality systems, we study the error bound property of approximate solutions of abstract inequality systems on Banach spaces with the involved function F being Fréchet differentiable and its derivative F^' satisfying the center-Lipschitz condition (not necessarily the Lipschitz condition) around a point x 0 . Under some mild conditions, we establish results on the existence of the solutions, and the error bound properties for approximate solutions of abstract inequality systems. Applications of these results to finite/infinite systems of inequalities/equalities on Banach spaces are presented and the error bound properties of approximate solutions of finite/infinite systems of inequalities/equalities are also established. Our results extend the corresponding results in [ 3 , 18 , 19 ].

Abstract:In this paper, we develop Terence Tao's harmonic analysis method and apply it to restricted sumsets. The well-known Cauchy–Davenport theorem asserts that if ∅≠A, B⊆Z/pZ with p a prime, then |A+B|⩾min{p,|A|+|B|−1}, where A+B={a+b:a∈A,b∈B}. In 2005, Terence Tao gave a harmonic analysis proof of the Cauchy–Davenport theorem, by applying a new form of the uncertainty principle on Fourier transform. We modify Tao's method so that it can be used to prove the following extension of the Erdős–Heilbronn conjecture: If A,B,S are non-empty subsets of Z/pZ with p a prime, then |{a+b:a∈A,b∈B,a−b∉S}|⩾min{p,|A|+|B|−2|S|−1}.

Abstract:Sobolev's Theorem is the most fundamental theorem in the theory of Invariant Cubature Formulas (ICFs). In this paper, a quantitative structure is established for the classical ICFs. Enlightened by this structure, the author generalizes the concept of ICFs and extends the Sobolev's Theorem to the case of generalized ICFs. Several illustrative examples are given.
