Abstract:Accompanied with the ECU,applying an Electronic Throttle Controller (ETC) on the internal combustion engine can guarantee better control of the power supplied by the engine,which agree manufacturers enhance driver's experience,reduce fuel consumption and emissions by dynamically adjusting pedal to throttle position transfer function in response to changes in driving conditions.Additionally,ETC system is very important in the development of Hybrid Electronic Vehcles.This paper studies the structure and driver electronics of ETC system,designs the hardware and software of an Engine Electronic Throttle Controller,tests its transient response,and provides the test result on dynamic Engine test bed.which shows the applicability of the controller of controlling the torque supplied by the engine.This controller has been used in the torque controlling on the development of an Hybrid Electric Vehicle..

Abstract:The system structure of electronical throttle control(ETC) system and its software were described. The control method used in the system was PID arithmetic. The application structure of ETC was also constructed based on a 16-bit microcontroller. On the base of the ETC system, the intelligent control of engine's intake rate of air could be achieved. The system will benefit the engine in fuel consumption, power performance and emission.

Abstract:The nonlinearities of the electronic throttle is discussed and its model has been established. A variable structure controller and observer are designed by using the sliding mode variable structure control theory. Simulation and experimentation results show that the actual angle value tracks the command angle very well.

Abstract:Electronic throttle control (ETC) system has turned into an extremely prominent system with a specific end goal to vary the intake airflow rate to provide a better fuel economy, emissions, drivability and also for integration with other systems in spark ignition engines. ETC system consists of mechatronic device called as electronic throttle body (ETB) which is located in the intake manifold of an engine after the air filter and also has a separate control system in the engine management system (EMS). The throttle angle has to be precisely maintained based on the driver and other system requirements to provide an enhanced throttle response and drivability. However, existence of nonlinearities in the system, such as limp-home position, friction, airflow and aging, affects the position accuracy of the throttle valve. A control system strategy is employed in EMS to handle the other system requirements in throttle opening angle estimation and the nonlinearities in position control. This work features developments within the electronic throttle control system and reviews about the various research work carried in this area. This work will not enforce any new results rather than it will discuss the trends followed in past and also proposes some of the future perspectives in the electronic throttle control process.

Abstract:With the rapid development of automobile electronic industry, more and more electronic control technologies are replacing the traditional mechanical devices of automobile. Modern automobile chassis control technology is developing towards the direction of wire control. The wire control system will replace the traditional control system which mainly consists of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, so as to realize the integration with other systems. In this paper, the development status of vehicle by wire control technology in various countries, as well as the composition, working principle and control method of vehicle by wire steering system and brake by wire system are summarized, the key technologies affecting the development of vehicle by wire control are summarized, and the application of by wire control technology in the future automotive field is prospected.

Abstract:The disadvantages of traditional hydraulic circuits regulating speed with a throttle or variable displacement are first analyzed;then. the advantages and development background of variable frequency hydraulic technology are introduced. This article pointed out that the variable frequency hydraulic system is an overall energy-saving system which can realize power match from the main power supply to execution mechanism. Development and application as well as the research situation of variable frequency hydraulic technology are described in detail. The problems in variable frequency hydraulic technology are discussed, which mainly involve low velocity stability, response time, startup or direction changing smoothness, velocity tracking precision and efficiency. Some kinds of solutions for these problems are presented. In the last part of the article, the developing prospect of variable frequency hydraulic technology is given.

Abstract:This paper developed the throttle control system for automobile engine based on Motorola 16bit single chip microcomputer,the design of microcomputer control circuit,torque motor were introduced and control algorithm,this system has already been used for the Eddy Current Dynamometer to realize the control of engine throttle position.It shows that the system operation is steady and credible,the control effect has been proved actually.

Abstract:A large flow double active and double feedback electro-hydraulic proportional plug-in throttle valve was developed which has the characteristics of large flow and high frequency.Based on the analysis of the technology demand for the valve,the simulation analysis was made by AMESim software.The valve was designed and trial-produced based on the simulation.Experimental result shows that all capability criterions meet the technology demand.

Abstract:This paper introduces the development of passenger car steering systems with electronic control. Steering system is the operation device on vehicle with which the driver wil get in touch the vehicle. Ergonomics and drive safety should be taken into account in the development of vehicle steering system. Electronic control of the steering system is a tendency of the development of passenger car technology and a basic way to increasing the drive safety and comfort. This paper summarizes the structure and working principle of electric power steering system, active front steering system, front wheel steer-by-wire system and rear wheel steer-by-wire system respectively in accordance with the progress history of electronicaly controled steering systems. Also, the paper sketches the key technologies, advantages and chalenges to be faced of the above-mentioned steering systems. Finaly, it concludes that steer-by-wire system wil be the development trend of electronic control steering system from the point of view of concise construction, convenient layout and correcting driver’s over operation.

Abstract:Electronic throttle body has become the standard component of gasoline engine,used for torque-based engine management system,idle speed control,as well as gasoline hybrid electric control.AD5435 is a high speed real-time platform for simulation and control,seamless connecting with Matlab/Simulink.Hardware and software system have been built in this paper based on AD5435 rapid prototyping control function.Also,this platform is used to analyse the response characteristic of electronic throttle body,identify the system parameter,verify the control algorithm.So as to control the opening angle accurately,a fuzzy-PID strategy has been introduced.The real-time simulation test indicates that the response of electronic throttle body under the said strategy is fast with no overshoot,and minor steady error.

Abstract:In this paper, an adaptive second-order sliding mode control approach is proposed for the performance improvement of electronic throttles (ET). Based on the traditional twisting approach, a novel adaptation mechanism based on the online zero-crossing checking is contained in the modified approach to make the control magnitude of the controller at the minimum admissible level. The idea behind it is to calculate the number of zero-crossings of the sliding surface in real time. The guaranteed stability condition and convergence region of the system are also deduced. In order to further prove its high adaptation capability, the commonly used adaptation mechanism called the Lyapunov-based type is also introduced for comparative study. Simulations and experiments validate the proposed approach with the advantages of chattering elimination, high speed and accuracy in the control of ET systems.

Abstract:Electrification of Non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) is more and more urgent due to the demand of pollution reduction and energy conservation. In electrified NRMMs, electrohydraulic control system is still irreplaceable in many working conditions owing to its high power density and shock resistance performance. Meanwhile, electrohydraulic control systems are facing many opportunities to improve its energy efficiency by novel component and circuit design if the internal combustion engines (ICEs) and fossil fuel are replaced by electric motors (EMs) and energy storage devices. However, there are also a lot of challenges about controllability, compactness, lifetime and so on, due to the frequent variable load characteristic and wide speed regulation range of NRMMs. In this study, the technical opportunities and challenges of electrohydraulic control systems are reviewed and summarized in the electrification era of NRMM. Finally, the future directions are considered to improve the energy efficiency and electrification level of NRMMs.

Abstract:This paper presents a survey of recent advancements and upcoming trends in motion control technologies employed in designing multi-actuator hydraulic systems for mobile machineries. Hydraulic systems have been extensively used in mobile machineries due to their superior power density and robustness. However, motion control technologies of multi-actuator hydraulic systems have faced increasing challenges due to stringent emission regulations. In this study, an overview of the evolution of existing throttling control technologies is presented, including open-center and load sensing controls. Recent advancements in energy-saving hydraulic technologies, such as individual metering, displacement, and hybrid controls, are briefly summarized. The impact of energy-saving hydraulic technologies on dynamic performance and control solutions are also discussed. Then, the advanced operation methods of multi-actuator mobile machineries are reviewed, including coordinated and haptic controls. Finally, challenges and opportunities of advanced motion control technologies are presented by providing an overall consideration of energy efficiency, controllability, cost, reliability, and other aspects.
