Abstract:Objective: To study the reliability and validity of multiple memory assessment scale (MMAS) Method: The split-half reliability, internal consistency reliability, construct validity and empirical validity were examined based on data of 694 subjects aged from 6 to 91 years The retest data of 56 subjects with a 20 days interval was used to estimate stability coefficients Result of Wechsler Memory Test-revised Chinese version in 60 subjects was used to get concurrent validity Results: The stability coefficients of subtests ranged from 0 53 to 0 96, coefficients of composites were above 0 76 The split-half reliability (0 265~0 970), Cronbach's coefficients (0 246~0 957), and generalizability coefficients (0 245~0 957) of most subtests were higher than 0 60 The correlations between subtests ranged from 0 191 to 0 785, and correlations between subtests and composites were above 0 50, and multi-dimensional construct was confirmed The scores of subtests and composites were significantly correlated with education, positively correlated with age in children and negatively with age in adult and elderly The scores of subtests were correlated with total score Conclusion: The stability, internal consistency, and validity of MMAS are good and meet with psychometric standard
