Abstract:Objective: To analyze cognitive hold and deficit feature fo r patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) Methods: Admin istered the Chinese version of Mattis dementia rating scale (DRS) and mini-menta l state examination (MMSE) to 23 patients with MCI, 22 outpatients with dementia of Alzheimer disease (AD) and 88 healthy elderly subjects in Shanghai Results: There was significant diff erence between MCI and healthy elderly subjects for “Memory” factor, but not d iffer in Attention, Initiation/Perseveration, Construction and Conceptualization subscales The patients with MCI scored significantly higher than patients wit h mild AD on total intelligence, memory, verbal fluency and executive function Conclusion: These results suggest the pattern of cognitive hold and deficit for patients with mild MCI
