Abstract:The electroluminescent mechanism of organic thin film is introduced. several kinds of electroluminescent devices were fabricated, and the EL spectra, J-V, B-V, efficiency of the devices were investigated. By the energy band theory, the characteristic changes of all devices are demonstrated. The brightness is changed as the thickness of the hole transport layer and emitting layer are modulated.

Abstract:Organic light-emitting transistors (OLETs), as novel and attractive kinds of organic electronic devices, have gained extensive attention from both academia and industry. The unique device architectures can simultaneously combine the electrical switching functionality of organic field-effect transistors and the light generation capability of organic light-emitting diodes in a single device, thereby holding great promise for reducing the complicated processes of next-generation pixel circuitry. This review involves the design, fabrication, and applications of OLETs with a comprehensive coverage of this field with the aim to give a deep insight into the intrinsic mechanisms of devices. Challenges and future prospects of OLETs are also discussed.

Abstract:Organic light emitting device research has developed during the past 40 years, especially in the last decade, organic light emitting devices have been extensively studied due to its desired properties. OLED possessed other significant advantages, such as low thickness, light weight, low fabrication cost, low power loss, better vision, fully solid state, self-luminous, low driving voltage (3-12V) and compatible with flexible substrates etc. OLED have gained tremendous attention from industry and academia because of the potential to replace current display technologies. First, we review the history of the field of OLED and discuss the current development trends, some common organic materials have been simply introduced. Then a detailed review on the structure of the devices, the luminous mechanism, especially fabrication methods of full-color display as well as the fabrication crafts has been done in this paper.

Abstract:The progress of information technology promotes the development of new light emissive display devices. As one of great potential display techniques, organic electroluminescent (EL) thin film devices has characterized by the low driven voltage, high fluorescence quantum efficiencies, wide emitting spectrum and physical flexibility, attract much more attentions around the world in the last few years[1] [2]. Different from inorganic electroluminescent thin film device, organic EL thin film device are based on the injection effect for luminescence, that is due to the recombination of electron and holes in the diode junction region, therefore organic EL thin film device is one kind of LED device. It is important to construct an organic thin film diode structure. The currency problem is how to produce an organic LED diode of high lighting efficiency and of long working time. There are two ways to improve the device performance, one is from the material point of view, that is to say by finding out new EL materials, by the different doping methods or by the combination or a new design organic-inorganic compound to arrive the goal; the second way to realize the performance is by improving coating process, or optimization thin film diode structure. In this paper, we present our primary research works in organic EL thin film devices.

Abstract:Electrodeposition is an old and effective method for the fabrication of organic films. Though electrodeposited organic films have been widely used in various applications, highly luminescent films have been a great challenge because the electrochemically doped state may strongly quench the fluorescence. In the first part of this review, the organic electrodeposition techniques, along with general electropolymerization and other special electrodepositions are introduced. In the second part of the review, we describe how to electrochemically fabricate luminescent films for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). With the rational molecular design and well-controlled electrodeposition process, we have not only demonstrated high-performance OLEDs, but also paved a promising way to practice active-matrix OLEDs (AMOLEDs) and super-resolution OLEDs. In particular, RGB 3 × 3 array OLEDs based on active-matrix substrates, RGB passive-matrix OLEDs (PMOLEDs) with a resolution of 210 ppi, and monochromatic OLEDs with a super-resolution of 2822 ppi have been successfully fabricated. It is highly anticipated that the organic electrodeposition technology is of comparable or perhaps even higher contenders in manufacturing and downscaling OLEDs and AMOLEDs with low-cost and high-resolution for the human-computer interaction fields such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), etc.

Abstract:Since the invention of organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs) by Dr. CW Tang in 1987, researches in related fields have been developed rapidly. Now, small to medium size OLED displays have already been commercialized. Large OLED TVs and OLED lightings have also emerged in real applications. The further development of the OLED technology calls for intensive research on organic light-emitting materials and devices. This report reviewed the most focused issues as well as the main progress in the field of OLEDs in the recent years. It is shown that researchers have paid attentions to both technical innovations and theoretical researches, such as the design of new molecules, developing of new device technology, and understanding of light-emitting and transporting mechanisms of organic semiconductors.The developing trends of organic light-emitting materials and devices are summarized as follows: 1) molecular design for high performance phosphorescent materials; 2) novel fluorescent materials and their light emitting mechanisms; 3) new technologies for high performance white OLEDs; 4) new technologies for solution-processed devices and flexible devices; 5) the influences of molecular packing, disorder and doping on the charge transporting properties of organic semiconductors. Moreover, the current situations and developing trends of international OLED display and lighting industries are discussed.

Abstract:Based on the energy-level structure of Organic Electroluminescent(OEL) devices,the effect of the electrode modification on the improving to carrier injection efficiency is analyzed.Then,the tricolor luminous materials are reviewed about their quantum efficiency,luminous stability,lifetime and so on.After analysis to the technical characteristics of the two driving methods of OEL Display(OELD),passive matrix driving and active matrix driving,the progresses and technical difficulties of the Active Matrix(AM) driving are introduced,which is carried out by the Thin Film Transistor(TFT) array.Finally,the new research achievements on the display size,color,and lifetime of OELD are presented.Moreover,the problems faced by large-size OELD in the industrialization and the probable solving methods are also discussed.
