Abstract:A simple and practical approach to thiochromen-4-one derivatives has been developed through domino reactions of 1-(2-alkoxyaryl)-3-akylprop-2-yn-1-ones and sodium sulfide nonahydrate. The domino reactions underwent sequential addition and cyclization via cleavage of aromatic C-O bonds.

Abstract:A novel protocol for the facile synthesis of chiral 3-substituted 1,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzo[e] [1,4]diazepin-2-ones via a domino reaction has been developed, which involves a cascade of S(N)2 nucleophilic substitution and copper-catalyzed C-N coupling reactions of a-amino acid amides and orthohalobenzyl halides. This protocol has some merits, such as one-pot process, easy operation, a wide scope of substrates. Furthermore, no heavy racemization occurs during the reaction.

Abstract:Novel divergent domino annulation reactions of sulfur ylides with aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborates have been developed, affording various tetra- and trisubstituted pyrazole derivatives in moderate to good yields. Three molecules of sulfur ylides were applied as C1 synthon to construct the complex products with five new chemical bonds formed in these one-pot reactions.

Abstract:Domino reactions of chromones with activated carbonyl compounds, such as dimethyl acetone-1,3-dicarboxylate and 1,3-diphenylacetone, and with 1,3-bis(silyloxy)-1,3-butadienes, electroneutral equivalents of 1,3-dicarbonyl dianions, allow for a convenient synthesis of a great variety of products. The regioselectivity and course of the reaction depends of the substituent located at carbon C3 of the chromone moiety and also on the type of nucleophile employed. Beilstein J. Org. Abstract:A Cs2CO3‐promoted domino reaction between thioaurones and sulfur ylides was developed. A series of spiro[benzo[b]thiophene‐2(3H),1′‐cyclopropan]‐3‐ones were obtained in good‐to‐high yields. The present domino strategy tolerated both electron‐withdrawing and electron‐donating groups on both thioaurones and sulfur ylides. The reaction mechanism and the origin of the observed diastereoselectivity were investigated.
