Abstract:Chemin, Gallagher, and Paicu obtained in 2010 a class of large initial data that generate a global smooth solution to the three-dimensional, incompressible Navier-Stokes equation. The data varies slowly in the vertical direction-it is expressed as a function of epsilon x(3)-and it has a norm that blows up as the small parameter goes to zero. This type of initial data can be regarded as an ill prepared case, in contrast with the well prepared case treated in earlier papers. The data was supposed to evolve in a special domain, namely Omega = T-h(2) x R-v. The choice of a periodic domain in the horizontal variable played an important role.The aim of this article is to study the case where the fluid evolves in the whole space R-3. In this case, we have to overcome the difficulties coming from very low horizontal frequencies. We consider in this paper an intermediate situation between the well prepared case and ill prepared situation (the norms of the horizontal components of initial data are small but the norm of the vertical component blows up as the small parameter goes to zero). The proof uses the analytical-type estimates and the special structure of the nonlinear term of the equation.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the 3D axi-symmetric Navier-Stokes Equations with swirl. We prove the global regularity of the 3D Navier-Stokes equations for a family of large anisotropic initial data. Moreover, we obtain a global bound of the solution in terms of its initial data in some $L^p$ norm. Our results also reveal some interesting dynamic growth behavior of the solution due to the interaction between the angular velocity and the angular vorticity fields.

Abstract:This paper proves that the 3-D Navier-Stokes system has a unique global solution under an assumpution on the initial data. That allow the data to be arbitrarily large in the scale invariant space \dot{B}_{\infty,\infty}^{-1}, which contains all the known spaces in which there is a global solution for small data. Moreover, this result provides various examples of arbitrarily large initial data giving rise to global solutions.

Abstract:Consider the Cauchy problem of incompressible Navier–Stokes equations in three dimension with axisymmetric initial data. If the swirl component satisfies some certain regularity criteria in weighted spaces, the existence of the time-global solution has been proved in our previous work. However, it is more or less evident that the solution is anisotropic in vertical direction (i.e., the direction parallel to the axis of symmetry) and the horizontal directions (in the plane perpendicular to the axis of symmetry). In this paper, we are interested in constructing regularity criteria and time-global solution in anisotropic Lebesgue spaces.

Abstract:In this paper,we review some recent work on the Cauchy problem of the three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in recent years.It is well known that the three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes system has the global Leray-Hopf weak solutions.When the weak solution satisfies the ProdiSerrin condition,the solution is regular.We obtain some new results in the regularity conditions.Especially,for axisymmetric system,when the rotation speed is zero,it is well known that the system is globally well-posed.We find a new conserved quantity,and obtain some new advances in the regularity conditions of axisymmetric solutions with nonzero swirl,also get the global well-posedness results with the small initial rotating speed.Furthermore,we also get the similar result for the inhomogeneous system.In the end,we consider the global well-posedness of a class of generalized Navier-Stokes systems with the higher order horizontal viscosity D2αh,α≥4/3.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the initial–boundary value problem of the 3D primitive equations with only horizontal viscosities and horizontal diffusion. We first establish the local well–posedness result of this system, with the initial data belongs to the anisotropic Sobolev pace H0,s(s>12). Then, under the basic and high-order energy estimates, one can extend the local solution to the global one provided that s>1. The restrictions on the initial data is more weaker than the previous results which are obtained by Cao et al. ((2016) [8] and (2017) [9]), in which the initial data belongs to H2 and H1∩L∞, respectively.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a global wellposed problem for the 3-D incompressible anisotropic Navier-Stokes equations (ANS). We prove the global wellposedness for ANS provided the initial horizontal data are sufficient small in the scaling invariant Besov-Sobolev type space B(0,1/2). Abstract:In this paper, we first prove the global existence of strong solutions to 3-D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with solenoidal initial data, which writes in the cylindrical coordinates is of the form: A ( r , z ) cos ⁡ N θ + B ( r , z ) sin ⁡ N θ , provided that N is large enough. In particular, we prove that the corresponding solution has almost the same frequency N for any positive time. The main idea of the proof is first to write the solution in trigonometrical series in θ variable and estimate the coefficients separately in some scale-invariant spaces, then we handle a sort of weighted sum of these norms of the coefficients in order to close the a priori estimate of the solution. Furthermore, we shall extend the above well-posedness result for initial data which is a linear combination of axisymmetric data without swirl and infinitely many large mode trigonometric series in the angular variable.

Abstract:We are concerned with the global well-posedness of strong solutions to the Cauchy problem of nonhomogeneous Navier–Stokes equations with density-dependent viscosity and vacuum in R3. With the help of energy method, we prove the global existence and uniqueness of strong solutions provided that the initial mass is properly small. In particular, the initial velocity can be arbitrarily large. This improves He, Li, and Lü’s work [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 239, 1809–1835 (2021)]. Moreover, we also extend the result of Liu [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. B 26, 1291–1303 (2021)] to the case that large oscillations of the solutions are allowed.
