Abstract:Let $f$ be a transcendental entire function and $U$ be a Fatou component of $f$. We show that if $U$ is an escaping wandering domain of $f$, then most boundary points of $U$ (in the sense of harmonic measure) are also escaping. In the other direction we show that if enough boundary points of $U$ are escaping, then $U$ is an escaping Fatou component. Some applications of these results are given; for example, if $I(f)$ is the escaping set of $f$, then $I(f)\cup\{\infty\}$ is connected.

Abstract:Based on the classical model of multi-machine power system with non-uniform damping, by the aid of the Taylor Theorem and LaSalle Invariance Principle, we present a method for constructing a closed hyper-ball that strictly resides in transient stability domain. This method is termed second order upper bounding function method. First of all, we derive the analytical expression and computational steps of the approximated stability region. Two numerical examples are provided in the end, in contrast to first order upper bounding function method, the method in this paper has a better performance in conservative character. What is more, it is strict and reliable and avoids the difficulty of computing UEP that is essential in traditional transient energy function methods.

If B 1 ( f )<∞ or B 2 ( f )<∞, then we say F ( f ) is strongly uniformly bounded or uniformly bounded respectively. We show that, under some conditions, F ( f ) is (strongly) uniformly bounded.

Abstract: This paper is devoted to establish sufficient conditions under which a transcendental meromorphic function has no unbounded Fatou components and to extend some results for entire functions to meromorphic functions. Actually, we shall mainly discuss non-existence of unbounded wandering domains of a meromorphic function. The case for a composition of finitely many meromorphic function with at least one of them being transcendental can be also investigated in the argument of this paper.
Geometry of Complex Bounded Domains with Finite-Volume Quotients

Abstract:We first show that for a bounded pseudoconvex domain with a manifold quotient of finite-volume in the sense of Kahler-Einstein measure, the identity component of the automorphism group of this domain is semi-simple without compact factors. This partially answers an open question in [Fra95]. Then we apply this result in different settings to solve several open problems, for examples, (1). We prove that the automorphism group of the Griffiths domain [Gri71] in ℂ^2 is discrete. This gives a complete answer to an open question raised four decades ago. (2). We show that for a contractible HHR/USq complex manifold D with a finite-volume manifold quotient M, if D contains a one-parameter group of holomorphic automorphisms and the fundamental group of M is irreducible, then D is biholomorphic to a bounded symmetric domain. This theorem can be viewed as a finite-volume version of Nadel-Frankel's solution for the Kahzdan conjecture, which has been open for years. (3). We show that for a bounded convex domain D⊂ℂ^n of C^2-smooth boundary, if D has a finite-volume manifold quotient with an irreducible fundamental group, then D is biholomorphic to the unit ball in ℂ^n, which partially solves an old conjecture of Yau. For (2) and (3) above, if the complex dimension is equal to 2, more refined results will be provided.

Abstract:We investigate uniform perfectness of the Julia set of a transcendental meromorphic function with finitely many poles and prove that the Julia set of such a meromorphic function is not uniformly perfect if it has only bounded components. The Julia set of an entire function is uniformly perfect if and only if the Julia set including infinity is connected and every component of the Fatou set is simply connected. Furthermore if an entire function has a finite deficient value in the sense of Nevanlinna, then it has no multiply connected stable domains. Finally, we give some examples of meromorphic functions with uniformly perfect Julia sets.

Abstract:We study the behaviour of a transcendental entire map $ f\colon \mathbb{C}\to\mathbb{C} $ on an unbounded invariant Fatou component $ U $, assuming that infinity is accessible from $ U $. It is well-known that $ U $ is simply connected. Hence, by means of a Riemann map $ \varphi\colon\mathbb{D}\to U $ and the associated inner function, the boundary of $ U $ is described topologically in terms of the disjoint union of clusters sets, each of them consisting of one or two connected components in $ \mathbb{C} $. Moreover, under more precise assumptions on the distribution of singular values, it is proven that periodic and escaping boundary points are dense in $ \partial U $, being all periodic boundary points accessible from $ U $. Finally, under the same conditions, the set of singularities of $ g $ is shown to have zero Lebesgue measure.

Abstract:Let f:C↦Cˆ be a transcendental meromorphic function with at most finitely many poles. We mainly investigated the existence of the Baker wandering domains of f(z) and proved, among others, that if f(z) has a Baker wandering domain U, then for all sufficiently large n, fn(U) contains a round annulus whose module tends to infinity as n→∞ and so for some 0<d<1,Mc(r,a,f)d⩽mc(r,a,f),r∈G, where G is a set of positive numbers with infinite logarithmic measure. Therefore, we give out several criterion conditions for non-existence of the Baker wandering domains.

Abstract:In complex dynamics, the boundaries of higher dimensional hyperbolic components in holomorphic families of polynomials or rational maps are mysterious objects, whose topological and analytic properties are fundamental problems. In this paper, we show that in some typical families of polynomials (i.e. algebraic varieties defined by periodic critical relations), the boundary of a capture hyperbolic component ℋ is homeomorphic to the sphere S^2_ℂ(ℋ)-1. Furthermore, we establish an unexpected identity for the Hausdorff dimension of ∂ℋ: H.dim(∂ℋ) = 2 _ℂ(ℋ)-2+max_f∈∂ℋH.dim(∂ A^J(f)), where A^J(f) is the union of the bounded attracting Fatou components of f associated with the free critical points in the Julia set J(f). In the proof, some new results with independent interests are discovered.

Abstract:We prove the local connectivity of the boundaries of invariant simply connected attracting basins for a class of transcendental meromorphic maps. The maps within this class need not be geometrically finite or in class , and the boundaries of the basins (possibly unbounded) are allowed to contain an infinite number of post-singular values, as well as the essential singularity at infinity. A basic assumption is that the unbounded parts of the basins are contained in regions which we call 'repelling petals at infinity', where the map exhibits a kind of 'parabolic' behaviour. In particular, our results apply to a wide class of Newton's methods for transcendental entire maps. As an application, we prove the local connectivity of the Julia set of Newton's method for , providing the first non-trivial example of a locally connected Julia set of a transcendental map outside class , with an infinite number of unbounded Fatou components.

In this note, we mainly prove that if[GRAPHICS]then the set of normality N(f) of f has no unbounded preperiodic and periodic components. In particular, f has no Baker domains. We also discuss non-existence of unbounded components of normality under other conditions.
Connectivity of Fatou Components of Meromorphic Functions

Abstract: In this paper, we show that there exist transcendental meromorphic functions with a cycle of 2-periodic Fatou components, where one is simply connected while the other is doubly connected. In particular, the doubly connected Fatou component can be an attracting, parabolic, or Baker domain. Thus, this settles the problem of whether a doubly connected periodic Fatou component must be a Herman ring. We also prove that there exists a transcendental meromorphic function with a wandering domain that has no eventual connectivity. In addition, we show that the connectivity sequence of this wandering domain is periodic with period two. This solves a problem about the nonexistence of the eventual connectivity of wandering domains and gives a different example constructed by Ferreira [J. London Math. Soc. (2022), DOI:10.1112/jlms.12613].

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of a broader class of functions which are meromorphic outside a compact totally disconnected set. We shall establish the connections between the Fatou components and the singularities of the inverse function and, accordingly, give sufficient conditions for the non-existence of wandering domains or Baker domains, and for the Julia set to be the Riemann sphere. Through the discussion of permutability of such functions, we shall construct several transcendental ineromorphic functions which have Baker domains and wandering domains with special properties; for example, wandering and Baker domains with a critical value on the boundary and a wandering domain with the boundary being a Jordan curve (some such examples for entire functions were exhibited in other papers) and those of non-finite type which have no wandering domains.
