LNG RECEIVING TERMINAL AND ITS CORRELATIVE TECHNIQUES

Abstract:LNG receiving terminal is the major link of LNG industrial chain. It needs large investment and covers many technical fields. The composition of LNG receiving terminal is introduced including the unloading devices of LNG carrier, the storing tanks, the gasified devices and the security system. With special techniques to utilize the cold energy of LNG, the purpose to save energy and improve economic benefits can be achieved. The relative techniques to utilize the cold energy of LNG are introduced on the 4 aspects of power generation, air separation, dry ice making and cold warehouse. At last, it is proposed the main activities to be further performed for LNG receiving terminal construction are as follows: the equipment used in the LNG industrial chain should be made domestically; the techniques to utilize the cold energy of LNG should be improved; the craftwork process of LNG receiving terminals with self-determination knowledge property right should be developed. Also, it is pointed out the specialization, socialization and internationalization of LNG should be fully considered while popularizing LNG in China.
