Abstract:The background of LNG cold energy utilization was discussed and the cascade utilization principle of LNG cold energy was analyzed.Then the improved method that using LNG cold energy as cold source of ice slurry production system was proposed.Different methods of using LNG cold energy were compared and the results show that the energy efficiency coefficient of the system increases up to about 3 times of the original result by using LNG cold energy,the cold exergy loss rate of directly using of LNG cold energy is greater than cascade utilization of LNG cold energy.With the initial temperature of the used LNG rising,cold exergy loss rate of LNG approximately decreases linearly and the required mass flow rate of LNG shows J-shaped growth.
