Abstract:Five Tachydromia. species are reported flout Yunnan province: two species were previously known from Thailand: T. thaica Shamshev et Grootaert, 2005 and T. terricoloides Shamshev et Grootaert. 2005. Three species are described as new for science: T. mengyangensis sp. nov., T. menglunensis sp. nov. and T. yunnanensis sp. nov. A key to the ten known species of China is given.

Abstract:Elaphropeza Macquart is reported for the first time from Guangdong province in Southern China with three species. They are E. guiensis (Yang & Yang) and two species new to science: E. chebalingensis sp. n. and E. plumata sp. n. A key to the three species is presented.

Abstract:Two species of Hyadina Haliday, H. pulchella Miyagi and H. guttata (Fallén), are recorded from China for the first time and are redescribed. Their male genitalia are illustrated in detail. The first species, H. pulchella Miyagi occurs in both Oriental and Palaearctic China. The second species, H. guttata (Fallén) is found in Palaearctic China. A key is presented to separate the six known species from China.

Abstract:Nine species in the subgenus Zeugodacus Hendel were known to occur in Yunnan. We add seven more species to the fauna of Yunnan. Among them, one species, Bactrocera (Zeugodacus) vultus Hardy, 1973, is reported from China for the first time. This species is redescribed in detail and its male genitalia are illustrated and described for the first time. A key to the species of the subgenus Zeugodacus from Yunnan is provided.

Abstract:This study reported the subfamily Heteromyzinae with its genus Tephrochlamys from China for the first time. Tephrochlamys Loew is a small genus in Heteromyzinae with only 13 known species from the Afrotropical, Oriental, Palaearctic and Nearctic Regions. Here, we described one new species of Tephrochlamys from Qinghai of Palaearctic China: Tephrochlamys qinghaiensis sp. nov. An updated key to the Palaearctic species of Tephrochlamys is presented.

Abstract:The genus Campyhxheta Rondani (Diptera, Tachinidae) of China was studied. Two new species, C. macubsa sp. nov. from Liaoning and C. latifrons sp. nov. from Ningxia, China are described, and C. abdominalis Shima, C. bisetosa Shima and C. hirticeps Shima are recognized as new records in China. A key to 8 Chinese species of Campylocheta is provided. The type specimens and other examined specimens are deposited in the Insect Collection, Shenyang Normal University (SNU).

Abstract:The described Nearctic species of the genus Tachydromia Meigen, 1803 (Diptera: Hybotidae, Tachydromiinae) are revised. Seventeen described species are recognised. The following two new synonyms are proposed: Tachista lundstroemi Frey, 1913 (Eurasian species) = Tachydromia enecator Melander, 1902; Tachydromia hirtipes Melander, 1928 = Tachydromia schwarzii Coquillett, 1895. Five Eurasian species are recorded for the first time from North America (T. aemula (Loew), T. fuscinervis (Frey), T. incompleta (Becker), T. magadanica Shamshev, T. punctifera (Becker)) and two North American species for the first time from Eurasia (T. chelana Melander, T. monacha Melander). Nearly half of Tachydromia species recorded currently from North America have Holarctic distributions (53 %). However, many new species remain undescribed. Redescriptions, photos of the habitus and illustrations of male terminalia (when available), as well as known distributions and a key to species are included.
