Abstract:Parallelodromia gen. nov. is described with the inclusion of two new species from South Africa (P. glenlyonensis sp. nov. and P. hantamica sp. nov.) and a new species (P. turkmenistanica sp. nov.) from Turkmenistan. The genus is fully illustrated along with a discussion of its unusual disjunct geographic distribution and its phylogenetic relationship within the Tachydromiinae tribe Drapetidini.

Abstract:Previously 11 Elaphropeza species were known from Taiwan. The following two species of the genus Elaphropeza are described: Elaphropeza flaviscutum sp. n. and E. trimacula sp. n. One species, Elaphropeza plumata Yang, Metz & Grootaert, is newly recorded from Taiwan. A key to 14 known species of Elaphropeza from Taiwan is presented.

Abstract:A new genus and species of the tribe Dagini ( subfamily Ephydrinae), Sinops sichuanensis, are described from specimens collected in China (Sichuan: Emeishan Mountain), and three species formerly comprising "the fluvialis group" of Psilephydra Hendel are transferred to the new genus ( S. fluvialis (Miyagi), S. kaskiensis (Mathis) and S. nepalensis ( Mathis)) as new combinations. A cladistic analysis of the new genus with related genera in the tribe Dagini is presented and discussed, and keys to the genera of Dagini and to the species of the new genus are presented.

Abstract:The genus Dinera Robineau-Desvoidy from the Palaearctic and Oriental regions is revised; six described species are recognized, viz. (originally described as Eomyoceropsis sumatrensis Townsend, 1926 and here removed from synonymy with D. fulvifera), D. vacua (Fallen), D. velutina (Mesnil), D. ventralis Aldrich, D. vicina (Mesnil), D. violovitshi Kolomiets and D. vittata (Baranov). Five species are described as new to science: D. alticola Zhang et Shima, sp. nov., D. chaoi Zhang et Shima, sp. nov., D. chinensis Zhang et Chen, sp. nov., D. kurahashii Zhang et Shima, sp. nov., and D. tenuiforceps Zhang et Shima, sp. nov. Some species are newly recorded from Japan and Southeast and South Asian countries. A key to 36 species of Dexia is given and 96 diagnostic figures of the male terminalia are included.

Abstract:A remarkable new genus and two new species of Mantispidae (Neuroptera) are described from the Oriental region. AllomantispaLiu, Wu, Winterton & Ohl gen.n., currently including A.tibetanaLiu, Wu & Winterton sp.n. and A.mirimaculataLiu & Ohl sp.n. The new genus is placed in the subfamily Drepanicinae based on a series of morphological characteristics and on the results of total evidence phylogenetic analyses. Bayesian and Parsimony analyses were undertaken using three gene loci (CAD, 16S rDNA and COI) combined with 74 morphological characters from living and fossil exemplars of Mantispidae (17 genera), Rhachiberothidae (two genera) and Berothidae (five genera), with outgroup taxa from Dilaridae and Osmylidae. The resultant phylogeny presented here recovered a monophyletic Mantispidae with dagger Mesomantispinae sister to the rest of the family. Relationships among Mantispidae, Rhachiberothidae and Berothidae support Rhachiberothidae as a separate family sister to Mantispidae. Within Mantispidae, Drepanicinae are a monophyletic clade sister to Calomantispinae and Mantispinae. In a combined analysis, Allomantispagen.n. was recovered in a clade comprising DitaxisMcLachlan from Australia, and two fossil genera from the Palaearctic, dagger PromantispaPanfilov (Kazakhstan; late Jurassic) and dagger LiassochrysaAnsorge & Schluter (Germany; Jurassic), suggesting a highly disjunct and relictual distribution for the family.
