Abstract:From the seeds of medicinal plant Koelreuleria paniculata, a new pseudo sesquiterpenoid with novel skeleton namely paniculoid 1 was isolated. The structure of 1 was established on the basis of extensive 2D NMR spectroscopy in conjugation with MS and IR spectral analysis.

Abstract:AIM:To investigate the chemical constituents of seeds of Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm. , components were separated by means of solvent extraction and chromatography on C18, the structure of compound was determined by spectral analysis and chemical evidences. One saponin was obtained and identified as 28-O-isopentyryl-3beta, 16alpha, 22beta, 28-tetrahydroxyl-oleanane-3-O-[ alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl- ( 1-->3) -betaD-galactopyranosyl-( 1--->4' )]-3betaD-galacturonopyranoside, named paniculata saponin C. This saponin is a new compound.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE: To investigate the chemical constituents of the barks of Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm. METHODS: Components were separated by means of solvent extraction and chromatography on silical and sephadexLH-20. The structures were determined by spectral analysis and chemical properties. RESULTS: Three compounds were obtained and elucidated 3β-hydroxyl-lupinane, 3β, 28-dihydroxyl-lupinane and 3β-hydroxyl-28-lupinic acid. CONCLUSION: These compounds were obtained from the plant for the first time.

Abstract:Phytochemical investigation of the fruits of Daucus carota L. resulted in the isolation of a new sesquiterpene named as daucucarotol (1). Its structure was elucidated on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR experiments, coupled with MS studies. To our knowledge, compound 1 is the first example for a natural eudesmane sesquiterpene with a hydroxymethyl group located at a methine carbon rather than a usual quaternary carbon in the two fused six-membered ringsystems.

Abstract:AIM: Isolation and structural elucidation of the constituents from leaveS of the Chinese medicinal plant Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm. METHODS: The leaves were extracted with 95% EtOH percolation and the crude extracts were purified by using silica gel chromatography. IR, UV, MS, 1H and 13CNMR spectra were employed for structural identification. RESULTS: Three new compounds named ethyl-p-digallate (1), ethyl-m-digallate (2), p-digalloyl acid (3), together with eleven known compounds m-digalloyl acid (4), quercitrin-2″-gallate (5), galloyl acid (6), ethyl galloyl acid (7), ellagic acid (8), quercitrin (9), hyperin (10), kaempferol-3-O-rhamnoside (11), hyperin-2″-gallate (12), β-sitosterol (13) and β-sitosterol 3-O-glucoside (14) were isolated. CONCLUSION: Ethyl-p-digallate (1), ethyl-m-digallate (2) and p-digalloyl acid (3) were new compounds, and 4, 5, 8-12 and 14 were known compounds unreported previously from this plant.

Abstract:From the fresh leaves of Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm (Sapindaceae), four new compounds, named ethyl p-trigallate (1), 3"-O-galloyl-4'-O-galloyl-4-O-galloyl-gallic acid (2), ethyl p-heptagallate (3) and 3"-galloylquercitrin (4), together with 12 known compounds namely catechin (5), galloylepicatechin (6), isorhamnetin (7), kaempferol-3-O-arabinopyranoside (8), quercetin-3'-O-beta-D-arabinopyranoside (9), quercitrin (10), methyl p-digallate (11), methyl m-digallate (12), p-digalloyl acid (13), m-digalloyl acid (14), hyperin (15) and kaempferol-3-O-alpha-L-rhamnoside (16) were isolated by extensive column chromatographic separation. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic methods. Compound 9 was not reported previously with pyranoside of arabinose at C-3'. Compounds 4 and 9 possessed the activity for PTK inhibition.

Abstract:Objective To research the chemical constituents from flowers of Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm..Method The chloroform fraction from flowers of Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm.was separated and purified by silica gel and polyamide column chromatography.The physicochemical property and spectral analysis were used to identify the compounds structure.Results Three compounds were obtained and identified as β-sitosterol(Ⅰ),acetyl-umbelliferone(Ⅱ) and 6-benzoyl-umbelliferone(6-benzoyl-7-hydroxylcoumarin)(Ⅲ).Conclusion Two coumarins were isolated for the first time from the genus:acetyl-umbelliferone and 6-benzoyl-umbelliferone(6-benzoyl-7-hydroxylcoumarin).These compounds were isolated for the first time from flowers of Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm.

Abstract:Two new beta-dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpene polyesters were isolated from Celastrus paniculatus. The structures were deduced using various 2D NMR techniques (H-H COSY, C-H COSY, COLOC, NOESY), NOE difference spectra and mass spectra. The positions of the ester moieties were located by 2D heteronuclear correlated spectra via long-range coupling, or combined with NOE experiments. Their stereochemical structures were studied and the complete assignments of the H-1 and C-13 chemical shifts were made.

Abstract:A new sesquiterpenoid lactone, 3,6,9-trimethyl-pyrano[2,3,4-de]chromen-2-one (1) and a novel sesquiterpenoid quinone, 6-[2-(5-acetyl-2,7-dimethyl-8-oxo-bicyclo[4.2.0]octa-1,3,5trien-7-yl)-2-oxo-ethyl]-3,9-dimethylnaphtho[1,8-bc]pyran-7,8-dione (2) together with a known perezone (3) were. isolated from the roots of Helicteres angustifolia. The structures were elucidated as mainly on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data.

Abstract:Psycacoraone A (1), a new acorane-type sesquiterpene possessing rare spirobicyclic carbon skeleton, was isolated from the aerial parts of Psychotria yunnanensis. Its structure was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods including HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR. The absolute configuration of 1 was determined by calculation of electronic circular dichroism using density functional theory.

Abstract:Seven new tetranortriterpenoids (1-7). named chisonimbolinins A-G, were isolated from twigs of Chisocheton paniculatus. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses, and the structure of 1 was confirmed by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. Cytotoxic activity of compounds 1-7 was evaluated using HeLa and SMMC-7721 tumor cell lines.

Abstract:A new sesquiterpene kalinturoside A (1), and 17 known compounds friedelan-3-ol (2), 24-ethyl-5a-cholesta-7, 22(E)-dien-3-one (3), friedelin (4), syringaresinol (5), α-spinasterol (6), ciwujiatone (7), syringic acid (8), scopoletin (9), apocynin (10), 1-(3-hydroxy-4, 5-dimethoxyphenyl)ethan-1-one (11), apigenin (12), 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (13), stigmasterol-3-O-β-d-glucopy-ranoside (14), bidenoside C (15), citrusin (16), irioresinol A (17) and syringaresinol-4-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (18) were isolated from the herbs of Kalimeris integrifolia. The structures of these compounds were elucidated using spectroscopic techniques such as NMR and MS. All of the compounds were isolated from this genus for the first time.

Abstract:Three new indole alkaloid derivatives, named paniculidines D‒F (1‒3), and six known analogs (4‒9) were isolated from the roots of Murraya paniculata. The structures were elucidated on the basis of comprehensive HRESIMS, UV, IR, and NMR spectroscopic data analysis and comparison with the data reported in literature. The absolute configurations of new compounds were assigned via the determination of specific optical rotation, Mosher′s method, and ECD spectra. Compound 3 is the first heterodimer of C-N linked indole and coumarin derivatives.

Abstract:A novel eleven-membered-ring triterpene dilactone, pseudolarolide F (1), and a related compound, pseudolarolide E (2), were isolated from the seeds of Pseudolarix kaempferi, a plant indigenous to eastern China. Their structures and stereochemistry were established by spectroscopic studies, which included UV, IR, HREIMS, 2D NMR correlation methods (1H-1H COSY, 13C-H COSY, NOESY, HMQC, and HMBC), and single-crystal X-ray analysis.
