Abstract:To meet the requirements of light duty vehicle regulation test and research emission test, host computer system was developed. Hardware was designed based on virtual instrument architecture. Software was designed with unified modeling language. Function of data acquisition, flow control and data processing for light duty vehicle bag sampling, continuous dilution sampling and direct sampling were realized. Application in practice showed that the system, with all-around testing performance, reliable control and exact data, is fit for exhaust tests on light gasoline or diesel vehicles.

Abstract:To meet the requirements of heavy duty engine development and emission certification test, host computer system for engine testbed was developed. Hardware was designed with IPC and field bus data acquisition modal. Software was developed with Lab VIEW. The system can integrate devices of dynamometer, emission analyzer and particulate sampling system and realize function of data acquisition, device control and data processing for heavy duty engine ESC, ETC and ELR tests. Test in practice shows that the system is reliable and functions well.

Abstract:To meet the requirements of motorcycle emission regulation and research test,simplified host computer system for motorcycle emission test is developed.Hardware is constructed with IPC,software is developed with virtual instrument workbench LabView.Data acquisition,device control,driver aid display and data processing are realized on a single computer for motorcycle mode emission test.The experiment shows that the system works well with simple structure.

Abstract:A development module of network-based virtual instrument technology intended to be used for inspecting the performance of vehicle was presented. G web server provided by NI company helped achieve the web issue of vehicle inspection front panel. Meanwhile DataSocket technique helped achieve data transfer through internet. LabVIEW and web technology were combined to realize the remote control of vehicle inspection to meet the needs of clients. The system has been proved to be quite effective in performance examination of vehicle, such as brake horsepower, speed, noise, lamplight, smoke intensity and the weight of every axle.

Abstract:Abstract Investigations using laboratory test benches are the most common way to find the technological solutions that will increase the efficiency of internal combustion engines and curtail their emissions. In addition, the collected experimental data are used by the CFD community to develop engine models that reduce the time-to-market. This paper describes the steps made to increase the reliability of engine experiments performed in a heavy-duty natural-gas spark-ignition engine test-cell such as the design of the control and data acquisition system based on Modbus TCP communication protocol. Specifically, new sensors and a new dynamometer controller were installed. The operation of the improved test bench was investigated at several operating conditions, with data obtained at both high- and low-sampling rates. The results indicated a stable test bench operation.

Abstract:To meet the requirements of the motorcycle research and development and their emission regulation tests, a host computer system for the motorcycle emission chassis dynamometer was developed. The hardware integration was achieved with an industrial control computer, a data acquisition card and a communication card. The software was developed with the virtual instrument engineering work bench. The data acquisition, the device control and the data processing were realized for the CVS sampling test, the continuous dilution sampling test and the direct sampling test. The system was proved to be reliable, universal and extendible by tests in practice.

Abstract:A system combined the function of Industrial Computer, PLC, virtual instruments, sensors and data acquisition was designed and developed for testing and controlling of hydraulic steering control unit, which can achieve automated data acquisition, data processing, test results judgment, false alarms and etc. with the development of computer and science. The software of test system was designed through LabVIEW, and by using module design method, error detection, modify and maintenance of the software turn to be simple and the software become more robust. The system also adopted shielding and filtering with combination of hardware and software to improve test accuracy which reduces test error caused by operators and improve test efficiency.

Abstract:This paper introduces virtual instruments technology and develops a hydraulic test bench based on it. This test bench realizes the function of data acquisition, real-time display, output configuration, pressure adjustment, test data saving and report generation. Architecture of the test bench is introduced and its LabVIEW-based software design method is illustrated in detail. Compared to traditional systems, this test bench has many advantages like fast designing, easily expanding and automatic data judgment.

Abstract:In this paper, a multi-node data acquisition and analysis system for the development of AT ECU (electronic control unit)is designed. The system acquires data from each node on the bus and sends the data to PC through CAN card, while designing data display, storage and analysis system on PC through LabVIEW8.6 platform in order to monitor control signals and state parameters of the automatic transmission in real-time. This system can improve the efficiency of data processing and shorten the development cycle for ECU by analyzing the data acquired. © 2011 IEEE.

Abstract:A portable automotive emission analyzer under National IV Criteria(GB 18352.3-2005)is designed based on ARM micro controller.It is used for analyzing motor vehicle exhaust gases.The analyzer is powerful,easy-to-use and convenient for real-time detection and dynamic display.National IV Criteria is realized in the embedded system.And fuzzy classification method is used to support combustion analysis and fault diagnosis.Experiment results demonstrate the excellent analysis performance of the system.

Abstract:The testing system of automobile thermal management test bench based on PROFIBUS was built and its software system was developed with the LabView virtual instrument development platform and the object-oriented programming method.The results show that the system can run stably and reliably,has the strong anti-interference ability,and is easy to maintain and extend. Accordingly,the test can satisfy the basic function of thermal management test bench.

Abstract:To meet the requirements of vehicle data acquisition on road test, the vehicle on board data acquisition system based on embedded PC is developed. Taking embedded PC as a core, signal conditioning circuit and data acquisition hardware are designed, XPE embedded operating system is customized, software is developed with virtual instrument development workbench LabVIEW. This system has powerful function of data acquisition and communication interface. Road test shows that the system is reliable. It provides a powerful tool for vehicle research and development.

Abstract:Under the sudden operation condition such as starting-up at over-low temperature etc, the heat load of an engine piston changes acutely. In order to study the variety of piston temperature and piston thermal stress, an experimental system based on embedded PC+PC has been developed. The design of the hardware and software of the test-bed control system are introduced. And the results compared the test data of embedded PC with that of PLC show that the control system based on embedded PC is better than control system based on PLC.
