Abstract:Let l be a positive integer, be a constant, and ( ) be a function holomorphic in a domain D , all of whose zeros have multiplicity at most l , and let be a family of meromorphic functions defined in D . If, for every function , (a) all zeros of f are multiple, and ; (b) ; (c) all poles of f have multiplicity at least , then is normal in D . Also, we give an example to show that the number is sharp, and prove that the counterexample is unique in some sense.

Normal families of holomorphic mappings between complex Finsler manifolds

Abstract:In this paper, we find that the integrated form $d_F$ of a complex Finsler metric $F$ is inner. The distance $d_F$ is complete if and only if every closed bounded subset of a complex manifold $M$ is compact. We prove a version of theorem for normal families of holomorphic mappings between two complex Finsler manifolds, i.e, the theorem of Montel in complex Finsler manifolds. Our results extend the basic theorem of strongly negatively curved families for a Hermitian manifold [Wu, Acta Math. 119(1967), 193-233] or [Grauert, Reckziegel, Math. Z. 89(1965), 108-125]. As applications, we obtain a complex Finsler version of theorems $A$-$F$ in [Wu, Acta Math. 119(1967), 193-233], including the Cartan-Carathéodory-Kaup-Wu theorem, the theorem of the automorphism group on a complex Finsler manifold and some rigid results.

Abstract:Let F be a family of holomorphic functions and let K be a constant less than 4. Suppose that for all f in F the second iterate of f does not have fixed points for which the modulus of the multiplier is greater than K. We show that then F is normal. This is deduced from a result about the multipliers of iterated polynomials.

Abstract:In this paper we generalize a result of Ye, Pang and Yang[12] on the normality of a family of holomorphic curves in $P^N(\mathbb{C})$. Further we obtain a normality criterion for family of meromorphic functions that partially share wandering holomorphic functions with their derivatives. We also devise a tractable representation of complex valued holomorphic functions from D as functions from D to $P^2(\mathbb{C})$ obtain a normality criterion that leads to a counterexample to the converse of Bloch's principle.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper, we prove that for a transcendental meromorphic function f(z) on the complex plane, the inequality T(r, f) < 6N (r, 1/(f2 f(k)−1)) + S(r, f) holds, where k is a positive integer. Moreover, we prove the following normality criterion: Let ℱ be a family of meromorphic functions on a domain D and let k be a positive integer. If for each ℱ ∈ ℱ, all zeros of ℱ are of multiplicity at least k, and f2 f(k) ≠ 1 for z ∈ D, then ℱ is normal in the domain D. At the same time we also show that the condition on multiple zeros of f in the normality criterion is necessary.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the normal form problem of a commutative family of germs of diffeomorphisms at a fixed point, say the origin, of $\mathbb{K}^n$ ($\mathbb{K}=\mathbb{C}$ or $\mathbb{R}$). We define a notion of integrability of such a family. We give sufficient conditions which ensure that such an integrable family can be transformed into a normal form by an analytic (resp. a smooth) transformation if the initial diffeomorphisms are analytic (resp. smooth).

Abstract:Let f be a transcendental meromorphic function on the complex plane ℂ, let a be a non-zero finite complex number and let n and k be two positive integers. In this paper, we prove that if n≥k+1, then $\smash{f+a(f^{(k)})^n}$ assumes each value b∈ℂ infinitely often. Also, the related normal criterion for families of meromorphic functions is given. Our results generalize the related results of Fang and Zalcman.

It is shown that there exist holomorphic functions $w_1$ on $\{z\in C: 0<Im z <2 \alpha\}$ and $w_2$ on $\{z\in C: -2 \alpha<Im z<2 \alpha\}$ such that $w_1$ and $w_2$ have boundary values of modulus one on the real axis and satisfy the relation $w_1(z)=f(z-\alpha i)w_2(z-2 \alpha i)$ and $w_2(z+2 \alpha i)= \bar{f}(z+\alpha i)w_1(z)$ for $0<Im z<2$, where $\bar{f}(z):=\bar{f(\bar{z})}$. This leads to a "polar decomposition" $f(z)=u_f(z+\alpha i)g_f(z)$ of the function $f(z)$, where $u_f(z+\alpha i)$ and $g_f(z)$ are holomorphic functions for $-\alpha<Im z<\alpha$ such that $|u_f(x)|=1$ and $g_f(x)\ge 0$ a.e. on the real axis. Which Fueter-regular functions are holomorphic?

Abstract:We provide a classification of Fueter-regular quaternionic functions $f$ in terms of the degree of complex linearity of their real differentials $df$. Quaternionic imaginary units define orthogonal almost-complex structures on the tangent bundle of the quaternionic space by left or right multiplication. Every map of two complex variables that is holomorphic with respect to one of these structures defines a Fueter-regular function. We classify the differential $df$ of a Fueter-regular function $f$, roughly speaking, in terms of how many choices of complex structures make $df$ complex linear. It turns out that, generically, $f$ is not holomorphic with respect to any choice of almost-complex structures. In the special case when it is indeed holomorphic, generically there is a unique choice of almost-complex structures making it holomorphic. The case of holomorphy with respect to several choices of almost-complex structures is limited to conformal real affine transformations or constants.
