Abstract:For a connected graph $G$, the distance Laplacian spectral radius of $G$ is the spectral radius of its distance Laplacian matrix $\mathcal{L}(G)$ defined as $\mathcal{L}(G)=Tr(G)-D(G)$, where $Tr(G)$ is a diagonal matrix of vertex transmissions of $G$ and $D(G)$ is the distance matrix of $G$. In this paper, we determine the unique graphs with maximum distance Laplacian spectral radius among unicyclic graphs.

Abstract:Let ρ(D(G)) denote the distance spectral radius of a graph G and ∂(G→) denote the distance signless Laplacian spectral radius of a digraph G→. Let Gn,kD be the set of all k-connected graphs of order n with diameter D. In this paper, we first determine the unique graph with minimum distance spectral radius in Gn,kD; we then give sharp upper and lower bounds for the distance signless Laplacian spectral radius of strongly connected digraphs; we also characterize the digraphs having the maximal and minimal distance signless Laplacian spectral radii among all strongly connected digraphs; furthermore, we determine the extremal digraph with the minimal distance signless Laplacian spectral radius with given dichromatic number.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a simple connected graph of order $n$ and $\partial(G)$ is the spectral radius of the distance matrix $D(G)$ of $G$. The transmission $D_i$ of vertex $i$ is the $i$-th row sum of $D(G)$. Denote by $D_{\max}(G)$ the maximum of transmissions over all vertices of $G$, and $\partial^Q(G)$ is the spectral radius of the distance signless Laplacian matrix $D(G)+\mbox{diag}(D_1,D_2,\ldots,D_n)$. In this paper, we present a sharp lower bound of $2D_{\max}(G)-\partial^Q(G)$ among all $n$-vertex connected graphs, and characterize the extremal graphs. Furthermore, we give the minimum values of respective $D_{\max}(G)-\partial(G)$ and $2D_{\max}(G)-\partial^Q(G)$ on trees and characterize the extremal trees.

Abstract:The signless Laplacian spectral radius of a graph $G$, denoted by $q(G)$, is the largest eigenvalue of its signless Laplacian matrix. In this paper, we investigate extremal signless Laplacian spectral radius for graphs without short cycles or long cycles. Let $\mathcal{G}(m,g)$ be the family of graphs on $m$ edges with girth $g$ and $\mathcal{H}(m,c)$ be the family of graphs on $m$ edges with circumference $c$. More precisely, we obtain the unique extremal graph with maximal $q(G)$ in $\mathcal{G}(m,g)$ and $\mathcal{H}(m,c)$, respectively.

Abstract:Let $F_{a_1,\dots,a_k}$ be a graph consisting of $k$ cycles of odd length $2a_1+1,\dots, 2a_k+1,$ respectively, which intersect in exactly one common vertex, where $k\geq1$ and $a_1\ge a_2\ge \cdots\ge a_k\ge 1$. In this paper, we present a sharp upper bound for the signless Laplacian spectral radius of all $F_{a_1,\dots,a_k}$-free graphs and characterize all extremal graphs which attain the bound. The stability methods and structure of graphs associated with the eigenvalue are adapted for the proof.

Abstract:For a connected graph, the distance spectral radius is the largest eigenvalue of its distance matrix, and the distance energy is defined as the sum of the absolute values of the eigenvalues of its distance matrix. We establish lower and upper bounds for the distance spectral radius of graphs and bipartite graphs, lower bounds for the distance energy of graphs, and characterize the extremal graphs. We also discuss upper bounds for the distance energy.

Abstract:A bag Bagp,q is a graph obtained from a complete graph Kp by replacing an edge uv by a path Pq. In this paper, we show that for all the connected graphs of order n≥5 with signless Laplacian index q1(G) and radius rad(G), q1(G)⋅rad(G) is maximum for and only for the graph Bagn−2s+3,2s−1, where s=⌈n/4⌉. This solves a conjecture in [6] on the signless Laplacian index involving the radius.

Abstract:We determine the digraphs which achieve the second, the third and the fourth minimum spectral radii respectively among strongly connected digraphs of order $n\ge 4$, and thus we answer affirmatively the problem whether the unique digraph which achieves the minimum spectral radius among all strongly connected bicyclic digraphs of order $n$ achieves the second minimum spectral radius among all strongly connected digraphs of order $n$ for $n\ge 4$ proposed in [H. Lin, J. Shu, A note on the spectral characterization of strongly connected bicyclic digraphs, Linear Algebra Appl. 436 (2012) 2524--2530]. We also discuss the strongly connected bicyclic digraphs with small and large spectral radii respectively.

Abstract:Let $r(u,v)$ be the resistance distance between two vertices $u, v$ of a simple graph $G$, which is the effective resistance between the vertices in the corresponding electrical network constructed from $G$ by replacing each edge of $G$ with a unit resistor. The degree resistance distance of a simple graph $G$ is defined as ${D_R}(G) = \sum\limits_{\{u,v\} \subseteq V(G)} {[d(u) + d(v)]r(u,v)},$ where $d(u)$ is the degree of the vertex $u$. In this paper, the bicyclic graphs with extremal degree resistance distance are strong-minded. We first determine the $n$-vertex bicyclic graphs having precisely two cycles with minimum and maximum degree resistance distance. We then completely characterize the bicyclic graphs with extremal degree resistance distance.

Abstract:For a connected graph , let be its distance Laplacian matrix ( matrix) and be its eigenvalues. In this article, we will study the spectral invariants of graphs whose complements are trees. In particular, with the technique of eigenvalue/eigenvector analysis and intermediate value theorem, we order tree complements as a decreasing sequence on the basis of their second smallest eigenvalue , the spectral radius and the energy. Furthermore, we will give extreme values of and of over a class of unicyclic graphs and their complements. We present decreasing behaviour of these graphs in terms of and energy. Thereby, we obtain complete characterization of graphs minimizing/maximizing with respect to there spectral invariants over class of these unicyclic graphs.
