Abstract: Let $G$ be a graph of order $n$ and $Q_G(x)= det(xI-Q(G))= \sum_{i=1}^n (-1)^i \varphi_i x^{n-i}$ be the characteristic polynomial of the signless Laplacian matrix of a graph $G$. We give some transformations of $G$ which decrease all signless Laplacian coefficients in the set $\mathcal{B}(n)$ of all $n$-vertex bicyclic graphs. $\mathcal{B}^1(n)$ denotes all n-vertex bicyclic graphs with at least one odd cycle. We show that $B_n^1$ (obtained from $C_4$ by adding one edge between two non-adjacent vertices and adding $n-4$ pendent vertices at the vertex of degree 3) minimizes all the signless Laplacian coefficients in the set $\mathcal{B}^1(n)$. Moreover, we prove that $B_n^2$ (obtained from $K_{2,3}$ by adding $n-5$ pendent vertices at one vertex of degree 3) has minimum signless Laplacian coefficients in the set $\mathcal{B}^2(n)$ of all $n$-vertex bicyclic graphs with two even cycles.

Abstract:An eigenvalue of a graph is main if it has an eigenvector, the sum of whose entries is not equal to zero. Extending previous results of Hagos and Hou et al. we obtain two conditions for graphs with given main eigenvalues. All trees and connected unicyclic graphs with exactly two main eigenvalues were characterized by Hou et al. Extending their results, we determine all bicyclic connected graphs with exactly two main eigenvalues.

Abstract:Let $\Gamma=(K_n,H)$ be a signed complete graph whose negative edges induce a subgraph $H$. Let $A(\Gamma)$ be the adjacency matrix of the signed graph $\Gamma$. The largest eigenvalue of $A(\Gamma)$ is called the index of $\Gamma$. In this paper, the index of all the signed complete graphs whose negative edges induce a bicyclic graph $B$ is investigated. Specifically, the structure of the bicyclic graph $B$ such that $\Gamma=(K_n,B)$ has the maximum index is determined.

Abstract:Let Q(G;x)=det(xI−Q(G))=∑i=1n(−1)iφixn−i be the characteristic polynomial of the signless Laplacian matrix of a graph G of order n. This paper investigates how the signless Laplacian coefficients (i.e., coefficients of Q(G;x)) change after some graph transformations. These results are used to prove that the set (Bn,⪯) of all bicyclic graphs of order n has exactly two minimal elements with respect to the partial ordering of their coefficients. Furthermore, we present a sharp lower bound for the incidence energy of bicyclic graphs of order n and characterize all extremal graphs.

Abstract:Given a signed graph G ̇ , let A(G ̇) denote its adjacency matrix. The eigenvalues of A(G ̇) are called the eigenvalues of G ̇ . In this study we focus on the least eigenvalues of connected signed graphs, and consider the behavior of the least eigenvalue of a signed graph when it is perturbed by some edge variations. In particular, we identify the first four smallest eigenvalues with their extremal signed graphs among all the unbalanced signed bicyclic graphs of order n≥31 and range them corresponding to their least eigenvalues in an increasing order.

For a simple connected graph G , its signless Laplacian matrix Q ( G ) is , where D ( G ) is the degree diagonal matrix and A ( G ) is the adjacency matrix of G . The signless Laplacian permanental polynomial of G is . In this paper, we give the representation of a graph with two types of degrees, and 1, in terms of its signless Laplacian permanental polynomial. The unicyclic graphs discussed here are UC ( r , d ), where the unique cycle is with all whose vertices have degree , and the remaining are degree 1 vertices. We show that UC ( r , d ) is determined uniquely by its signless Laplacian permanental polynomial for and for any d . We also prove that the unicyclic graph obtained from UC ( r , d ) by making new vertices adjacent to a pendant vertex, is also determined uniquely by its signless Laplacian permanental polynomial, for . Finally, we show that among all connected graphs, UC ( r , 3), for every , is determined uniquely by its signless Laplacian permanental polynomial.

Abstract:For a graph G, let the signless Laplacian matrix Q(G) defined as Q(G) = D(G) + A(G), where A(G) and D(G) are, respectively, the adjacency matrix and the degree matrix of G. The Q-eigenvalues of G are the eigenvalues of Q(G). In this paper, we characterize the connected graphs whose second largest Q-eigenvalue kappa(2) does not exceed 2 + root 2, obtain all the minimal forbidden subgraphs with respect to this property, and discover a large family of such graphs that are determined by their Q-spectrum. In this paper we characterize the signed graphs of order n with nullity n-2 or n-3, and introduce a graph transformation which preserves the nullity. Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the properties of the largest signless Laplacian spectral radius in the set of all simple connected graphs with a given degree sequence. These results are used to characterize the unicyclic graphs that have the largest signless Laplacian spectral radius for a given unicyclic graphic degree sequence. Moreover, all extremal unicyclic graphs having the largest signless Laplacian spectral radius are obtained in the sets of all unicyclic graphs of order n with a specified number of leaves or maximum degree or independence number or matching number.

Abstract:Let $F_{a_1,\dots,a_k}$ be a graph consisting of $k$ cycles of odd length $2a_1+1,\dots, 2a_k+1,$ respectively, which intersect in exactly one common vertex, where $k\geq1$ and $a_1\ge a_2\ge \cdots\ge a_k\ge 1$. In this paper, we present a sharp upper bound for the signless Laplacian spectral radius of all $F_{a_1,\dots,a_k}$-free graphs and characterize all extremal graphs which attain the bound. The stability methods and structure of graphs associated with the eigenvalue are adapted for the proof.

Abstract:Let G = (V, E) be a simple graph. Denote by D(G) the diagonal matrix of its vertex degrees and by A(G) its adjacency matrix. Then the Laplacian matrix of G is L(G) = D(G) − A(G) and the signless Laplacian matrix of G is Q(G) = D(G) + A(G). Let λ 1(G), μ 1(G) and q 1(G) denote the largest eigenvalues of A(G), L(G) and Q(G), respectively. In this paper, we give upper and lower bounds on q 1(G) − μ 1(G), q 1(G) − λ 1(G) and μ 1(G) − λ 1(G), moreover, the extremal graphs which attain the upper and lower bounds are characterized.
