Abstract:In the title compound, C20H10Cl2O2, the naphthoquinone unit is essentially planar. The dihedral angle between the naphthalene system and the benzene ring is 11.74 (6)degrees. The molecules are linked by intermolecular C-(HCl)-Cl-... interactions, forming a chain along the b axis. In addition, the crystal structure is stabilized by weak intermolecular pi-pi interactions.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H13ClN4O6, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2-chloro-3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. Within the dinitrophenyl group, the distances of 1.413 (3) and 1.405 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imino group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.372 (4) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The benzene rings in the molecule are nearly coplanar, and the overlapped arrangement of benzene rings of neighboring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C(13)H(10)N(4)O(4), were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule assumes an approximately planar E configuration. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the average distance for the aromatic C-C bonds close to the imino group [1.417 (3) A] is appreciably longer than the average distance for the other aromatic C-C bonds in the same phenyl ring [1.373 (3) A]. This increased distance may be a result of the overlap of the non-bonding orbital of the imino N atom with the pi orbitals of the arene. It is likely that pi-pi stacking exists in the crystal structure.

Abstract:The title compound, C17H13ClO6, is an asymmetric alicyclic dianhydride containing a chloromethyl-substituted tetrahydronaphthalene moiety. The cyclohexene ring in the tetrahydronaphthalene moiety exhibits an envelope conformation with the tertiary C atom as the flap The dihedral angle between the two anhydride rings is 79.96 (6)°, while those between the benzene ring and the non-fused and fused anhydride rings are 71.03 (5) and 42.57 (7)°, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are connected by weak C—H...O interactions, forming a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(24)H(15)NO(3), the fused naphthaquin-one-pyrrole unit is approximately planar, the naphthaquinone ring system making a dihedral angle of 2.91 (10)° with the pyrrole ring. The plane of the pyrrole ring makes a dihedral angle 61.64 (14)° with that of the benzene ring of the benzoyl-methyl-ene group. The crystal structure is stablized by intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Abstract:The title compound, C(13)H(12)ClNO(4), is approximately planar, with a dihedral angle of 8.23 (4)° between the mean plane of the amino-methyl-ene unit and the planar part of the dioxane ring. The dioxane ring has a half-boat conformation, in which the C atom between the dioxane O atoms is -0.464 (8) Å out of the plane of the other five atoms. In the mol-ecule there is an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond, involving the NH H atom and the adjacent dioxane carbonyl O atom. In the crystal, weak intermolecular C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding contacts, result in the formation of sheets parallel to the ab plane.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. Abstract:In the title compound, C25H17NO4, the indolizine fused naphthaquinone unit is approximately planar [r.m.s deviation = 0.0678 angstrom] and makes a dihedral angle of 57.82 (5)degrees with the benzene ring of the methoxybenzene group. The naphthoquinone O atoms deviate, in the same sense, from the mean plane of the fused six-membered rings by 0.2001 (14) and 0.0516 (14) angstrom.
