Abstract:The title compound, C20H12N2OS, was synthesized by mixing 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde, ethyl chloroacetate and tetrahydropyrimidine-2-thione in ethanol. The dihedral angle between the naphthalene plane and the heterocyclic ring system is 9.3 (3)°.

Abstract:The title compound [systematic name: 1-(7-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthren-1-ylmeth- yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole], C35H40N2, was obtained via the one-pot three-component condensation of benzil, formaldehyde and dehydroabietylamine, which is a fungal toxin. The two substituent phenyl groups and the imidazole ring form a conjugated system. The dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the phenyl rings are 70.18 (9) and 12.77 (12)degrees. In the crystal structure, there are one intramolecular and two intermolecular hydrogen-bonding C-H center dot center dot center dot pi contacts. Furthermore, a weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N intramolecular hydrogen bond is observed.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H17N3O3S, was synthesized via the reaction of 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-ylsulfanyl) benzoic acid and aniline in dichloromethane using dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as catalyst. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine plane and the planes of the two benzene rings are 71.2 (2) and 62.7 (2)degrees; the dihedral angle between the planes of the two benzene rings is 68.4 (4)degrees. The conformation of the compound is U-shaped.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H13ClN4O6, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2-chloro-3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. Within the dinitrophenyl group, the distances of 1.413 (3) and 1.405 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imino group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.372 (4) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The benzene rings in the molecule are nearly coplanar, and the overlapped arrangement of benzene rings of neighboring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H18BrN3O3, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine and N-(2-bromophenyl)-2-hydroxybenzylamine in tetrahydrofuran. There are three different planes in the molecule, each of which is conjugated. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine plane and the planes of the two phenyl rings are 107.85 (4) and 77.38 (2) degrees, and the dihedral angle between the planes of the two phenyl rings is 103.15(3)degrees.

Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(12)N(2)S(2), was prepared by the reaction of o-phthalic acid and 2-amino-thio-phenol under microwave irradation. Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(16)N(2)O(4)S, was prepared by introduction of a 2-nitro-benzyl group to 2-(furan-2-yl)-2,3-dihydro-1,5-benzothia-zepin-4(5H)-one via an alkaline-catalysed reaction. The thia-zepine ring adopts a twist-boat conformation. The furan ring is oriented at dihedral angles of 56.75 (14) and 10.82 (14)° with respect to the two benzene rings, while the two benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 62.96 (10)°. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur in the crystal structure.
