Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C24H18I2O2, one benzene ring is almost coplanar with the naphthyl system [dihedral angle = 6.6 (4)°], whereas the other is almost orthogonal [73.1 (2)°]. The crystal structure is consolidated by C—H⋯O and C—H⋯π interactions.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C(13)H(10)N(4)O(4), were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule assumes an approximately planar E configuration. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the average distance for the aromatic C-C bonds close to the imino group [1.417 (3) A] is appreciably longer than the average distance for the other aromatic C-C bonds in the same phenyl ring [1.373 (3) A]. This increased distance may be a result of the overlap of the non-bonding orbital of the imino N atom with the pi orbitals of the arene. It is likely that pi-pi stacking exists in the crystal structure.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

The two biphenyl rings are twisted with respect to the isoindolin-1-one plane, making dihedral angles of 33.21 (9) and 33.34 (9)°. The two benzene rings of the biphenyl substituent are oriented at a dihedral angle of 35.43 (11)° to each other. Abstract:In the title compound, C20H13BF2N4O, the central fused three-ring oxadiazaborininonaphthyridine system is planar (r.m.s. deviation of 0.03 Å). The phenyl ring lies in the plane of this ring system, making a dihedral angle of 0.61 (14)°, and is inclined to the pyridine ring by 9.02 (19)°. In the crystal, molecules are connected by C—H...F hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along the b-axis direction. The chains are linked by offset π–π interactions [intercentroid distance = 3.4550 (13) Å], forming a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture.

Abstract:The title compound, C22H17NO2, was obtained by the photoreaction of N-methyl-1,8-naphthalenedicarboximide with 1-phenylpropyne. The planar cyclobutene ring makes a dihedral angle of 71.7 (2)degrees with the benzene ring of the 1,2-dihydronaphthalene group. There are intramolecular C-(HO)-O-... hydrogen bonds, and intermolecular C-(HO)-O-... interactions help to stabilize the crystal structure.
