Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C23H22O2, which exists in the enol form, is stabilized by an intramolecular hydrogen bond. The dihedral angle between the naphthyl ring system and the aromatic ring of the t-BuC6H4 group is 23.50 (10)degrees.

Abstract:The title compound [systematic name: 1-(7-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthren-1-ylmeth- yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole], C35H40N2, was obtained via the one-pot three-component condensation of benzil, formaldehyde and dehydroabietylamine, which is a fungal toxin. The two substituent phenyl groups and the imidazole ring form a conjugated system. The dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the phenyl rings are 70.18 (9) and 12.77 (12)degrees. In the crystal structure, there are one intramolecular and two intermolecular hydrogen-bonding C-H center dot center dot center dot pi contacts. Furthermore, a weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N intramolecular hydrogen bond is observed.

Abstract:In the title compound, C25H24O2, the molecular structure exists in a cis-enol form which is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond. This hydrogen bond is described as an approximately symmetrical hydrogen bond. The three methyl groups are disordered over two positions, with a site occupancy ratio of ca 4:1.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C16H14N4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzylideneacetone and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule has a nearly planar structure with a dihedral angle of 7.57 (4)degrees between the dinitrophenyl and benzylidene mean planes. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.420 (2) and 1.411 (3) Angstrom for the C - C bonds near the imine group are longer than the average distance of 1.374 (3) Angstrom for the other C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The short N-C distance of 1.338 (2) Angstrom indicates electron delocalization between the imine group and dinitrophenyl ring.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(21)H(16)O(2), the six crystallographically independent mol-ecules (Z' = 6) all exist in the enolized form. Strong intra-molecular hydrogen bonds are observed: one approximate H-atom-centered O⋯H⋯O hydrogen bond, two tautomeric forms O-H⋯O (three mol-ecules) and O⋯H-O (two mol-ecules). Only one weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond between two neighboring mol-ecules is observed in the crystal structure. In addition, eight very weak non-conventional inter-molecular C-H⋯π hydrogen-bonding contacts between mol-ecules are observed.
