Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C14H11ClN4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of m-chloroacetophenone and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The two benzene rings of the title molecule have a dihedral angle of 16.17 (6)degrees. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.422 (3) and 1.415 (3) Angstrom for the C-C bonds close to the imine group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.376 (3) Angstrom for other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The overlapped arrangement of chlorophenyl rings of neighbouring molecules shows the existence of a pi-pi stacking interaction.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H14N4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction between 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine and propiophenone. The compound crystallizes in an E configuration. Within the dinitrophenyl ring the distances [average 1.417 (4) Angstrom] of C-C bonds ipso to the amino group are significantly longer than the average distance of 1.375 (4) Angstrom for the other C-C bonds in the same phenyl ring. The van der Waals contact between the methyl and nitro groups from neighboring molecules results in the deviation of the ethyl group from the phenyl plane of the propiophenone group.

There are two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The double bond in the bridge between the benzene rings displays an E configuration. pi-pi stacking is observed between parallel and nearly parallel benzene rings.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C16H14N4O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzylideneacetone and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule has a nearly planar structure with a dihedral angle of 7.57 (4)degrees between the dinitrophenyl and benzylidene mean planes. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.420 (2) and 1.411 (3) Angstrom for the C - C bonds near the imine group are longer than the average distance of 1.374 (3) Angstrom for the other C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The short N-C distance of 1.338 (2) Angstrom indicates electron delocalization between the imine group and dinitrophenyl ring.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(21)H(16)O(2), the six crystallographically independent mol-ecules (Z' = 6) all exist in the enolized form. Strong intra-molecular hydrogen bonds are observed: one approximate H-atom-centered O⋯H⋯O hydrogen bond, two tautomeric forms O-H⋯O (three mol-ecules) and O⋯H-O (two mol-ecules). Only one weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond between two neighboring mol-ecules is observed in the crystal structure. In addition, eight very weak non-conventional inter-molecular C-H⋯π hydrogen-bonding contacts between mol-ecules are observed.

Abstract:The title compound, C11H13N3O2, includes a planar phenylhydrazone moiety and a five-membered carbon ring in an envelope conformation. A short C—C bond distance of 1.435 (6) Å is observed in the five-membered ring. This may be due to the larger displacement parameters of relevant atoms. Neighboring molecules are linked to each other via hydrogen bonding, forming a zigzag supramolecular chain along the b axis.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H13ClN4O6, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2-chloro-3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine.
