Discussion of Warp and Weft Twist Direction Matching Effect on Cotton Fabric Texture Property

Abstract:Influence law of warp and weft twist direction matching on cotton fabric structure and property was discussed.In the condition of choosing same raw material,same warp and weft density and finishing style,four common cotton fabric texture in commercial application were taken for study.Each texture adopted warp and weft with same twist direction and different twist direction were woven.After testing the indexes including fabric shrinkage,warp and weft density,weight per square meter,bending rigidity,breaking tenacity,crease recovery et al it was found out that warp and weft twist configuration influence the above indexes of cotton fabric obviously,while the change of fabric texture influences a little.
