Treatment of River Wastewater with Algal Pond and Aquatic Pond

Abstract:The treatment of river wastewater was studied with two-stage algal pond and aquatic pond in shenyang.The optimum operating parameters of algal pond and aquatic pond were shown in belowing：HRT=4 d,water deep 0.5 m,light application time 12 h every day,under the conditions of that influent PO3-4-P concentration is 0.37～0.58 mg/L,TP concentration is 0.68～1.17 mg/L,NH＋4-N concentration is 1.57～2.94 mg/L,COD concentration is 72.0～98 mg/L,TN concentration is 2.31～4.24 mg/L,the efluent concentrations of TP,COD,DO and NH＋4-N in the two-stage algal pond and aquatic pond were：0.16 mg/L,35.4 mg/L,5.88 mg/L and 0.66 mg/L.The removal of TN in the two-stage algal pond and aquatic pond was 51.1 %.
