Structure Design of Deflector Channel of an Automotive Body

Abstract:Two different kinds of deflector channel structures on front body are discussed in this paper:closed-type deflector channel and single-plate deflector channel.And the water-guiding feature,mounting requirement,welding technique and overlapping relation with peripheral parts,etc.are explained.Taking the structure of deflector channel in the engine room as an example,the structure characteristics and categories of drain channel for deflector plate assembly in the engine room on a specific car,as well as key considerations in the design are described.Meanwhile,some examples of deflector channel structures are given,thereby providing reference for the design of deflector channel.
