Abstract:Objective To observe the correlation between Confocal microscope and routine examination about tear flm of Dry eyes check.Methods The same eyes were examined by Confocal microscope and routine methods in turns.the routine method conclud Slit lamp,corneal fuorescein staining,breakup time of tear flm(BUT),secretion function of basic tear(SIt) and furthermore.tear flm histomorphology inspections were conducted by the tandem scanning confocal microscopy(NIDEK Company,ConfoScan 4).The results from all methods were compared and the data were analyzed with Spearmancorrelation test.Results According to the image of tear flm from confocal microscopy.(Classifcation standard of KartG.),All patients were divided into the following three groups,:mild,moderate,and severe.The mean time of BUT in mild group is OD 5±2-3s,OS 5±2-3s;the average quantity of Sit is OD 6±2-4 mm;OS 9±2-5 mm;corneal fuorescein staining results of the most cases is(+).In moderate group,the mean time of BUT is OD 4±2-6s,OS 4±2-8s;the average quantity of Sit is OD 5±3-4 mm;OS 5±3-4 mm;corneal fuorescein staining results of the most cases is(++).For severe group,the mean time of BUT is OD 2±1-3s,OS 2±1-4s;the average quantity of Sit is OD 2±1-4 mm;OS 2±14mm;corneal fuorescein staining results of the most cases is(+++).The results examined by Confocal microscope were Positively related to those from routine methods.Conclusion Confocal living organization inspection of tear flm can be used as an auxiliary examination for dry eye.
