Abstract:Yakov Berkovich get a sort of p-group as follow:Call a finite group G B-group,if NG(A)=G or NG(A)=CG(A) for any abelian subgroup A≤G.By analyzing the subgroup of B-group,the B-groups are discussed.The structure and the nature of B-groups is discussed.

Abstract:A nonnilpotent finite group G is called a PN-group if for any prime p, NG(P) is nilpo-tent provided that P is a non-normal j?subgroup of G such that P Z∞(G). In this paper, the author determines the structure of soluble PJV-groups. Some characterization theorems of PN-groups are obtained.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a finite group. The group pseudo-algebra of $G$ is defined as the multi-set $C(G)=\{(d,m_G(d))\mid d\in{\rm Cod}(G)\},$ where $m_G(d)$ is the number of irreducible characters of with codegree $d\in {\rm Cod}(G)$. We show that there exist two finite $p$-groups with distinct orders that have the same group pseudo-algebra, providing an answer to Question 3.2 in \cite{Moreto2023}. In addition, we also discuss under what hypothesis two $p$-groups with the same group pseudo-algebra will be isomorphic.

Notes on $B$-groups

Abstract:Following Wielandt, a finite group $G$ is called a $B$-group (Burnside group) if every primitive group containing a regular subgroup isomorphic to $G$ is doubly transitive. Using a method of Schur rings, Wielandt proved that every abelian group of composite order which has at least one cyclic Sylow subgroup is a $B$-group. Since then, other infinite families of $B$-groups were found by the same method. A simple analysis of the proofs of these results shows that in all of them a stronger statement was proved for the group $G$ under consideration: every primitive Schur ring over $G$ is trivial. A finite group $G$ possessing the latter property, we call $BS$-group (Burnside-Schur group). In the present note, we give infinitely many examples of $B$-groups which are not $BS$-groups.

Abstract:Let p be a prime and Fp be a finite field of p elements. Let FpG denote the group algebra of the finite p -group G over the field Fp and V(FpG) denote the group of normalized units in FpG . Suppose that G is a finite p -group given by a central extension of the form 1→Zpn×Zpm→G→Zp×⋯×Zp→1 and G′≅Zp, n,m≥1 and p is odd. In this paper, the structure of G is determined. And the relations of V(FpG)pl and Gpl, Ωl(V(FpG)) and Ωl(G) are given. Furthermore, there is a direct proof for V(FpG)p∩G=Gp .

Abstract:A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to satisfy Pi-property in G if for every chief factor L/K of G, vertical bar G/K : N-G/K {HK/K boolean AND L/K)vertical bar is a pi(HK/K boolean AND L/K)-number. A subgroup H of G is called Pi-supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup T of G such that G = HT and H boolean AND T <= I <= H, where I satisfies Pi-property in G. In this article, we investigate the structure of a finite group G under the assumption that some primary subgroups of G are Pi-supplemented in G. The main result we proved improves a large number of earlier results.

Abstract:Let H be a subgroup of a finite group G . We say that H satisfies the Π-property in G if for any chief factor L / K of G , ∣ G / K : N G/K ( HK/K ∩ L / K )∣ is a π ( HK/K ∩ L / K )-number. We obtain some criteria for the p -supersolubility or p -nilpotency of a finite group and extend some known results by concerning some subgroups that satisfy the Π-property.

Abstract:Let $p$ be a prime and $\mathbb{F}_p$ be a finite field of $p$ elements. Let $\mathbb{F}_pG$ denote the group algebra of the finite $p$-group $G$ over the field $\mathbb{F}_p$ and $V(\mathbb{F}_pG)$ denote the group of normalized units in $\mathbb{F}_pG$. Suppose that $G$ is a finite $p$-group given by a central extension of the form $$1\longrightarrow \mathbb{Z}_{p^n}\times \mathbb{Z}_{p^m} \longrightarrow G \longrightarrow \mathbb{Z}_p\times \cdots\times \mathbb{Z}_p \longrightarrow 1$$ and $G'\cong \mathbb{Z}_p$, $n, m\geq 1$ and $p$ is odd. In this paper, the structure of $G$ is determined. And the relations of $V(\mathbb{F}_pG)^{p^l}$ and $G^{p^l}$, $\Omega_l(V(\mathbb{F}_pG))$ and $\Omega_l(G)$ are given. Furthermore, there is a direct proof for $V(\mathbb{F}_pG)^p\bigcap G=G^p$.

We say that H satisfies the partial Pi-property in G if there exists a chief series Gamma(G) : 1 G(0) < G(1) < ... < G(n) = G of the group G such that for every G-chief factor G(i)/G(i-1) (1 <= i <= n) of the series Gamma(G), vertical bar G/G(i-1) : NG/Gi-1 (HG(i-1)/G(i-1) boolean AND G(i)/G(i-1))vertical bar is a pi(HG(i-1)/G(i-1) boolean AND G(i)/G(i-1))-number. In this paper, we investigate the structure of the finite groups G in which some primary subgroups satisfy the partial Pi-property in G.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a finite group and let $H$ be a subgroup of $G$. We say that $H$ is extremely closed in $G$ if $\langle H,H^g\rangle\cap N_G(H)=H$ for all $g\in G.$ In this paper, we determine the structure of finite groups with an extremely closed abelian $p$-subgroup for some prime $p$. In particular, we show that if $G$ contains such a subgroup $H$, then $G=N_G(H)O_{p'}(G).$ This is a variant on the celebrated Glauberman's $Z^*$-Theorem.

Abstract:The notions of a post-group and a pre-group are introduced as a unification and enrichment of several group structures appearing in diverse areas from numerical integration to the Yang-Baxter equation. First the Butcher group from numerical integration on Euclidean spaces and the $\mathcal{P}$-group of an operad $\mathcal{P}$ naturally admit a pre-group structure. Next a relative Rota-Baxter operator on a group naturally splits the group structure to a post-group structure. Conversely, a post-group gives rise to a relative Rota-Baxter operator on the sub-adjacent group. Further a post-group gives a braided group and a solution of the Yang-Baxter equation. Indeed the category of post-groups is isomorphic to the category of braided groups and the category of skew-left braces. Moreover a post-Lie group differentiates to a post-Lie algebra structure on the vector space of left invariant vector fields, showing that post-Lie groups are the integral objects of post-Lie algebras. Finally, post-Hopf algebras and post-Lie Magnus expansions are utilized to study the formal integration of post-Lie algebras. As a byproduct, a post-group structure is explicitly determined on the Lie-Butcher group from numerical integration on manifolds.

Abstract:There exists a multiplicative homomorphism from the braid group Bk+1 on k + 1 strands to the Temperley–Lieb algebra TL k . Moreover, the homomorphic images in TL k of the simple elements form a basis for the vector space underlying TL k . In analogy with the case of B k , there exists a multiplicative homomorphism from the structure group G ( X , r ) of a non-degenerate, involutive set-theoretic solution ( X , r ), with |X|=n , to an algebra, which extends to a homomorphism of algebras. We construct a finite basis of the underlying vector space of the image of G ( X , r ) using the Garsideness properties of G ( X , r ).

Abstract:Let σ ={σ _i | i∈ I} be some partition of the set ℙ of all primes and G a finite group. A set ℋ of subgroups of G is said to be a complete Hall σ -set of G if every member 1 of ℋ is a Hall σ _i -subgroup of G for some i∈ I and ℋ contains exactly one Hall σ _i -subgroup of G for every i such that σ _i∩π (G)∅ . A subgroup A of G is said to be ℋ -permutable if A permutes with all members of the complete Hall σ -set ℋ of G . In this paper, we study the structure of G under the assuming that some subgroups of G are ℋ -permutable.

Abstract:Given a finite group $G$, the {\it genus spetrum} ${\rm sp}(G)$ of $G$ is the set of integers $g\geq 0$ such that $G$ can act faithfully on an orientable closed surface of genus $g$ by orientation-preserving homeomorphisms. The determination of ${\rm sp}(G)$ is a classical topic and has a long history, but progress is lacked. In this paper, when $G$ is an abelian $p$-group with $p>2$, we propose a new approach to ${\rm sp}(G)$, giving a structural description for ${\rm sp}(G)$ in terms of a function which can be computed in finitely many steps.
