Abstract:To solve the high failure ratio problem of ERP implementation in China,this paper sets up the Critical Success Factors Measurement Model of ERP implementation based on the Critical Success Factors Model of ERP implementation.Then the Structural Equation of the relationship between the Critical Success Factors and Implementation Success(User Satisfaction) is set up to estimate the critical success factors' affection factors to User Satisfaction. Abstract:Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is one of the most widely accepted choices to obtain competitive advantage for manufacturing companies. However, the successful implementation rate is low and many firms did not achieve intended goals in China. This study develops an ERP implementation success framework by adapting the Ives et al. information systems (ISs) research model and DeLone and McLean's IS success model to identify both critical success factors and success measures. Qualitative case study research methodology is used to collect data and Atlas/ti program is used to facilitate data analysis. Discussion is made finally and suggested ERP systems implementation methodology is given at the end.

Abstract:This paper explores the effects of organizational culture on ERP implementation.Adopted with scales of Susan,Sonia,and Kenneth,organizational culture is measured with six subscales.The performance of ERP implementation is measured by user satisfaction.With SPSS,research model is tested with 289 valid data.The results confirm that organizational culture,especially climate-morale,involvement,supervision,and meetings;affect the performance of ERP implementation.

Abstract:The research studies the entrepreneurial strategies on all kinds of enterprises located in Suzhou and Shanghai by factor analysis.With foreign research for reference on entrepreneurial strategy dimensions,the authors used factor analysis to study 200 enterprises data via interview and surveys.By way of the structural equation model,the research used the software—LISREL8.7 to design a program.The results show that the entrepreneurial strategies on the background of China focus on 7 dimensions: the competitive strategy,innovative strategy,community strategy,service strategy,organizational strategy,government strategy and development strategy.The research results have deep implications for enterprises to make entrepreneurial strategies.

Abstract:The paper has researched the impact of ERP adoption on operational capability and profit-making capability of Chinese firms. This research has found that ERP systems can help Chinese firms enhance cash management resulting from increasing two ratios of Accounts Receivable Turnover and Current Assets Turnover. The ratio of number of employees to sales has also decreased because ERP systems can improve work efficiency. However, because ERP systems implemented in Chinese firms lacking functions of production management and supply chain management, there is no significant improvement associated with the ratio of Stock Turnover following the implementation of ERP systems. Further, the research has found that ratios of ROS and OIS have significant decrease in the first year after ERP adoption (but become better in the second year).

Abstract:Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems have emerged as the core of successful information management and the enterprise backbone of organizations. The difficulties of ERP implementations have been widely cited in the literature but research on the critical factors for initial and ongoing ERP implementation success is rare and fragmented. Through a comprehensive review of the literature, 11 factors were found to be critical to ERP implementation success – ERP teamwork and composition; change management program and culture; top management support; business plan and vision; business process reengineering with minimum customization; project management; monitoring and evaluation of performance; effective communication; software development, testing and troubleshooting; project champion; appropriate business and IT legacy systems. The classification of these factors into the respective phases (chartering, project, shakedown, onward and upward) in Markus and Tanis’ ERP life cycle model is presented and the importance of each factor is discussed.

Abstract:Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have been implemented globally and their implementation has been extensively studied during the past decade. However, many organizations are still struggling to derive benefits from the implemented ERP systems. Therefore, ensuring post-implementation success has become the focus of the current ERP research. This study develops an integrative model to explain the post-implementation success of ERP, based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) theory. We posit that ERP implementation quality (the technological aspect) consisting of project management and system configuration, organizational readiness (the organizational aspect) consisting of leadership involvement and organizational fit, and external support (the environmental aspect) will positively affect the post-implementation success of ERP. An empirical test was conducted in the Chinese retail industry. The results show that both ERP implementation quality and organizational readiness significantly affect post-implementation success, whereas external support does not. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings are discussed.

Abstract:Chinese-version entrepreneurial management (EM) scale is obtained via back translation. Using 277 domestic firms' data, the study validates the factor structure and cross-culture comparability of EM model in Chinese cultural background, together with its theoretical implications. Result reveals that EM factor model showed reasonable reliability and cross-culture comparability.

Abstract:Currently, ERP success has been a hot problem concerned by the academe and the industry. End-users' reluctance or unwillingness to adopt and use the newly implemented ERP system is often cited as one of the main reasons for ERP failures. To examine factors leading to the lack of end-user acceptance of ERP systems, we focused on the characteristics of ERP implementation and reviewed the literatures on user adoption theory of IT. We developed a research framework for ERP system implementation from end-users' acceptance theories and advanced some key factors in a synthetically model for Chinese Enterprises which would import ERP system. At the end of this paper, we give some ideas for further research based on our framework and model.
An Investigation into Post-Implementation Success of ERP: an Empirical Study of the Chinese Retail Industry.

Abstract:Significant growth in the Chinese retail industry has boosted utilization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems among Chinese retailers. However, due to the weak information infrastructure of organizations and the inherent complexity of ERP systems, many Chinese retailers have encountered difficulties in achieving the benefits at the post-implementation stage of the ERP deployment. The post-implementation success of the ERP is under researched, though. Therefore, based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) theory, we develop an integrated model of the post-implementation success of ERP, and empirically test it in the Chinese retail industry. The results show that implementation quality and organizational readiness positively affect the post-implementation success of the ERP, while external support does not exert significant impacts. The research and practical implications of the findings are discussed.

Abstract:This study attempt to find the motivation of ERP implementation based on the principal-agent theory. From the view of information resource sharing and communication, which is a critical characteristic of ERP, this paper investigates whether the decision of ERP implementation is affected by the principal-agent mechanism.We applied univariate analysis with matched sample and multivariate analysis with logistic regression to our study. Our findings reveal that Chinese companies try to resolve information asymmetry problems from principal-agent mechanism by implementing ERP. ERP adopters have lower shareholding proportion of managers and higher distance between concentration of ownership and managerial ownership than ERP non-adopters.Our study contributes to the ERP research literatures and information system research. Our study provides a new perspective on the information system research.

Abstract:The aim of this paper was to evaluate the risk level for both intra-organizational cultures and for different industries in implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This study adopts the Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) method to assess ERP implementation risks, which were categorized into four dimensions: management and execution, software system, users, and technology planning. An empirical survey was conducted that utilized the collected survey data of 20 ERP experts in Taiwan to assess, rank, and improve the critical risks of ERP implementation via the FANP method. Based on the results of the FANP method, a follow-up survey of ERP end-users in different departments of three industries was conducted to assess how intra-organizational cultures and cross-industries affect users’ perceived risks a real world scenario. Our research results demonstrated that “lack of management support and assistance” is vital risk for a successful ERP implementation. Top management support and involvement are crucial and essential factors to the success of a firm's ERP implementation. “Ineffective communication with users” was found to be the second highest risk factor. The benefits of using the FANP method for evaluating the risk factors come from the clear priority weights between alternatives. Finally, this study provides suggestions to help enterprises decrease ERP risks, and enhance the chances of success of ERP implementations among intra-organizational cultures and across-industries.

Abstract:Since early 1990s, many firms around the world have shifted their information technology (IT) strategy from developing information systems in-house to purchasing application software such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. IT managers responsible for managing their organization’s ERP implementation view their ERP systems as their organizations’ most strategic computing platform. However, despite such strategic importance, ERP projects report an unusually high failure rate, sometimes jeopardizing the core operations of the implementing organization. This study explores the root of such high failure rate from an “organizational fit of ERP” perspective. Based on the relevant literature, we define the concept of organizational fit of ERP and examine its impact on ERP implementation, together with ERP implementation contingencies. The results from our field survey of 34 organizations show that ERP implementation success significantly depends on the organizational fit of ERP and certain implementation contingencies.

Abstract:Abstrcat Drawing on the frequent failures of China's enterprises in implementing ERP and the impractical application of strategies, the authors, taking approaches of causal analysis and quantity-quality interaction, make a study into the relationship between the success of the system and its underpinning factors and relevant tactics. They also study the interrelational constraint and stimuli of the resulting effects after the successful application of the system. The findings lead to the establishment of cause-effect based phased information systematization model and a parallel study of the quantity-quality transformation of the model.

Abstract:A quantitative technique for evaluating the implementation capacity of enterprise resource planning(ERP) was developed to improve the efficiency and success rate of ERP implementation of manufacturing enterprises.A stepped ERP implementation model was presented and an implementation capacity evaluation architecture was designed by using balanced scorecard(BSC).Then analytic hierarchy processes(AHP)-comprehensive fuzzy evaluation theory was used to quantitatively calculate the ERP implementation capacity,and the relationship between the calculation result and the phase of the stepped implementation model was also established.According to the evaluated implementation capacity,the critical success factors were found out and the corresponding effective measures were provided for guiding the ERP implementation processes.Finally,the proposed technique was illustrated by a case study of ERP implementation process in an enterprise.

Abstract:ERP performance evaluation is an important step that helps an enterprise analyzing the contribution of ERP. However this process of assessment itself poses many problems. Therefore more and more enterprises regard the establishment of ERP performance evaluation system as their market competitiveness focus. The paper analyzed the literature of ERP implementation and performance management, established ERP implementation performance evaluation system which contained institution system, organization system and index system. Then this study developed a reliable measurement tools such as AHP to evaluate ERP implementation performance, demonstrated qualitative methods and quantitative methods from pre-implementation to post-implementation of ERP performance evaluation. Overall, this study contributes to expand the knowledge and deeper understanding of the ERP implement evaluation on enterprise performance, hoping to help firms avoid the pitfalls on the ERP adoption to generate the profitability and reduce the losses during the operation.

Abstract:Enterprise Resources Planning has become one of the business and management applications that are believed to be able to improve the performance of companies and or organizations to be more efficient and effective. However, based on much research, the success rate of ERP implementation is questionable. Although the success of ERP implementation is often published in research, the failure rate of ERP system implementation is relatively high. Therefore, this study is to find out the problems and challenges faced by organizations in implementing ERP, by reviewing the existing literature on research on factors that influence the success of ERP implementation. The approach taken is to review several related research articles published in the 2015-2020 period from several publishers, namely Emerald Online, Science Direct, IEEE, and SAGE. The sample size for the last 5 years is expected to show the up-datedness of the data taken from the research article. New ideas that will emerge from this discussion are the main factors causing the success of ERP implementation for organization, so that they can be used to reduce the failure rate of ERP implementation in the future by proposing an ERP implementation model.
