Abstract:The strength, permeability, carbonation depth of the concrete foundation slab of Ping’ an International Financial Center in Shenzhen were tested, and the microstructure of the hardened paste was observed by means of SEM. The results show that the concrete containing high volume of fly ash has a high strength and good durability at the long?term age. The cement?fly ash composite binder paste is very dense and the hardened paste is closely bonded with aggregates. The reaction degree of fly ash is high, resulting in reducing a large amount of Ca( OH) 2 . A great quantity of C?S?H gel with lower Ca/Si ratio is produced in the cement?fly ash composite binder paste.

Abstract:Combining with the project actual demands,a multifunctional high performance concrete is invented to change the concrete construction process,and the aim of long construction life,energy-saving,low carbon,environmental protection for high performance concrete is achieved finally.The characteristics of high performance concrete is introduced.The cracking problem of the shear walls with C80 concrete is researched with the project of Guangzhou East Tower.The mix proportion of high performance concrete is optimized.A serial tests are researched from the performance of new pouring concrete,compressive strength,early shrinkage and autogenous shrinkage,temperature rise of hydration,maintenance conditions.Then the good characteristics of high performance concrete are obtained.

Abstract:This paper studies air permeability, water absorption and chloride resistance properties of the normal concrete (NC) and the high performance concrete (HPC) adopted in the Yu-Cheng Bridge, Zhejiang Province. The air permeability and water absorption were measured by Autoclam, while the chloride resistance were tested by RCT after accelerate chloride ingression in the salt spray cabinet. The relationship among the air permeability, the water absorption and the chloride resistance of both kinds of concrete were analyzed. According to the result of Autoclam, HPC shows better resistance abilities of air permeability and water absorption, and this indicates that HPC is denser than NC. RCT shows that the chloride resistance of HPC is better than that of normal concrete.

Abstract:The hydration temperature rise,mechanical properties and volume stability of concrete with high volume of fly ash used in the massive concrete foundation slab of main tower in the project of the International Trade Center,Phase Three were investigated.The results show that the hydration temperature rise is relatively low and the pressure strength in 60 days is 58MPa,which satisfies the requirements proposed in the design,and besides,the volume stability is excellent.The hydration heat is alleviated effectively due to high volume of fly ash in the concrete,and the strength and elastic modulus at the early stage still increase rapidly because of temperature inside the mass concrete which is higher than normal.

Abstract:With the development of modern building design and construction technology, high strength concrete technology were getting more use in engineering and more requirements. The authors produced C80 HPC by using Portland cement, blast furnace slag, micro bead and Flyash as cementitious material, have prepared the concrete with grade of C80, low pumping resistance (rewinding time less than 6s), low shrink (72h early self-shrinkage value at 0.028%), high workability (slumps over 240mm and divergence over 700mm) and high durability (diffusion coefficient in concrete after 28d was 1.35×10-12 m2/s), which would match the requirements of the Guangzhou East Tower.

Abstract:In order to solve the problem of pouring concrete in nuclear power plant with intensive steel ,broaden the application scope of SCC,a kind of SCC with additional mineral admixture was prepared according to the design requirements.Through the indoor long-term test,the mechanical properties and crack resistance characterize of SCC and vibrated concrete were determined.By embedding sensors in foundation concrete in the field test,the temperature and strain distributions were given.The test results indicated that the properties of SCC can reach the level of vibrated concrete.Workability and mechanical properties of SCC can satisfy the design requirements of nuclear project.The SCC poured in the field test is dense enough.The temperature and strain data in the concrete foundation can provide a reference for SCC application in nuclear power plant concrete.The reasonable prepared SCC can ensure the material properties ,solve the pouring problem with intensive steel and substantially increase the efficiency of construction ,and has good application prospects.

Abstract:In order to solve the cracking problem of large area of high-performance concrete especially in the floor of sluice,this paper studied the working characteristics of C80 high-performance concrete by mixture trail,and then gained the mixture proportion which satisfied the request of engineering design and construction technics,and successfully applied in the head of young ditch of Hutubi-river reconstruction engineering.The study indicates that the excellent working characteristic of C80 high-performance concrete is the key to the quality of the Steep bottom of pour gate,and admixture dosage with high quality plays a very important role in optimizing working characteristic,debasing heat of hydration,preventing crevice,and enhancing durability and mechanical property of C80 high-performance.

Abstract:High-volume fly ash concrete was designed for a concrete foundation slab, and a mock-up of 4.5 m x 4.5m x 4.5 m was cast in order to determine the temperature variation of concrete and evaluate the cracking risk of the slab. The addition of a high amount (45%) of fly ash decreased the temperature rise of concrete significantly. The maximum temperature rise of the mock-up was only 41.3 degrees C. Proper thermal insulation measures effectively decreased the cooling rate of the concrete mock-up. The finite-element calculation results showed that the temperature gradient on the surfaces and edges of the mock-up was bigger than its other parts, and the maximum tensile stress appeared on the edge of the upper surface. The cracking risk of concrete was very low because the tensile stress at any position of the mock-up was smaller than the tensile strength of concrete. There was no visible cracking on the upper surface of the mock-up. Decreasing the temperature rise of concrete by adding a large amount of fly ash and decreasing the cooling rate were effective ways to reduce the cracking risk of massive concrete.

Abstract:To avoid crack of massive concrete foundation slab during the construction process of Tianjin Jinta Project, the opportune raw materials were chosen and concrete proportion was optimized.The test results show that the adiabatic temperature rise of concrete decreases due to the low hydration heat of binder containing high volume of fly ash.The full-scale model test was carried out.It is showed that the concrete proportion,placing and curing process are suitable to eliminate crack of massive concrete foundation slab of Tianjin Jinta Project.

Abstract:Self-compaction concrete is a new green concrete featuring self-leveling, self-compaction, low noise and low consumption of labor force. Nowadays, a large number of super high-rise buildings (h>400m) are under construction around the world, the complicated structures and dense reinforcement placement has brought numerous inconveniences to construction of concrete. Research on high strength / ultra-high strength self-compaction concrete thus becomes a hotspot. The porous structure of zeolite powder can help absorb the water reducing agent and then release it slowly in concrete mixture. With the low slump loss it produces, the prepared C100UHP-SCC can resist slump loss for over 3 hours. Test of super-high pumping at a height of 411m is carried out in the West Tower program at Pearl River New Town of Guangzhou (the building height is 441m). Drilled core test for L-shaped component indicates a dense internal structure, so it has a desirable self-compaction and capacity to pass through dense reinforcement.

Abstract:Zhongyu International Plaza in Kunshan City is an ultra-limit high-rise building with the height of 204 meters,in which a frame-core wall hybrid system is applied.Part of a five-storey podium is connected to this building.According to the geological conditions,bored pile raft foundation is adopted.In order to optimize the piled raft foundation,variable rigidity design for balance settlement is carried out,including selecting proper pile lay-out,pile length,bearing stratum under pile toe and raft foundation thickness.The influence on the foundation of post grouting in the pile bottom is analyzed as well.As one of the measures to reduce the differential settlement,a post-pouring settlement belt is set up between the main building and the podium.The effect of the belt is evaluated by comparison with the settlement without seting up post-pouring belt.Through those measures above,differential settlement is reduced effectively,that leads to weaken the internal force of the raft foundation and secondary internal force of the superstructure.Thus the quantities of pile foundation and the materials consumption will be decreased.

Abstract:A 12-story apartment building using various design schemes for the settlement-controlled composite pile foundation is analyzed and it illustrates very encouraging foundation settlement for such middle-height buildings in Shanghai.Numerical analysis also indicates that,with the use of lightweight construction materials and design of one-floor basement,the settlement-controlled composite pile foundation can be more efficient in adjusting the additional stresses,increasing the rigidity of the foundation,and controlling the different settlement of the foundation.

Abstract:This study aimed to the problem of durability and hydration of high performance concrete .In this paper , axial compression , electric flux , and thermal of concrete were tested , and high performance concrete which incorporated inhibitor and mineral admixture with different gradation were studied .The results showed that: With optimization design , 28 d strength of concrete specimens has increased by incorporation of mineral admixtures and migrating inhibitor , and the electrochemical property of the steel bar were with the further promoted .Meanwhile , Resistance to chloride ion penetration of concrete is 39％lower than reference concrete and hydration heat of cementious material decreased by 37％than reference sample .While increasing incorporation of fly ash and mineral powder , performance of resistance to chloride ions and strength of concrete improved , and peak of hydration heat was also reduced .When mineral admixture content reached 22％, it is possible to achieve the best performance of concrete .The electric flux dropped significantly while mineral admixtures and migrating corrosion inhibitor were incorporated , and mineral admixtures and inhibitor have synergistic effect on durability of concrete and control of hydration heat .
