Abstract:The library in the institutions of higher learning is the special stack room to collect literature of its own.It is of great significance to show the result of running school,to keep up complete data and to form a characteristic collection.By taking University of Zhejiang Science and Technology(ZUST)as an example,we analyze the existing problems in the library construction of the newly-built institutions of higher learning and define the scope of the library collection.Thus several methods are advanced to strengthen both its direction and initiative to turn the data base resources into the school's special collection resources as well as to grasp the timing node to collect library materials.

Abstract:The analysis of present situation of university libraries in China shows that the literature resources and the readers are all diversified. The urge demand for the libraries includes fast and efficient services and group work. The university libraries are characterized as knowledge carriers, information servers and literature collectors. The libraries should be reformed to provide diversified resources, precise services and easy acquisition of literatures. The reform of university libraries should follow the way from library planning, resources construction to literature sharing. The construction of library houses, literature resources and librarian teams is analyzed. The reform will force the libraries to be specialized in providing literature services. The libraries will continue to function as a typical cultural area in university campus.

Abstract:Based on the development of university library service in China, this paper analyzes the significance of university library service innovation and transformation under the "Internet plus" environment, puts forward the problems existing in the current university library service, first expounds the necessity of university library adapting to the new technological environment to build an innovative service system under the network environment, and then from the concept, management, resources The construction of innovative service system is discussed from five aspects of technology and service. This paper focuses on the analysis of the construction of the intelligent service mode of university libraries from the perspective of innovation and puts forward reasonable suggestions in order to improve the service ability of intelligent libraries and provide reference for people who pay attention to such topics.

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the situation of recent ten-year publications in Chinese hospital libraries, providing advice for the development and innovation of hospital libraries and the help to improvement of scientific research management.Methods:Publications in databases including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP were retrieved when " hospital library" is included as a key topic. The general information of the enrolled publications was statistically described. With respect to the key words with high frequency, co-word analysis and cluster analysis were performed to explore the research hotspots in hospital libraries.Results:The number of publications in Chinese hospital libraries shows an overall downward trend. By contrast, the total numbers of publications in hospital libraries from Shandong and Guangzhou rank top. In terms of the ratio of total number of publications to total number of hospitals, Liaoning and Chongqing rank top. The periodicals of interest are mainly grouped into three categories including intelligence information, library and hospital management; however, the cooperation with clinical or other departments should be strengthened. Discipline and personalized service, digital library and library innovation are the dominating research hotspots in hospital libraries from China. Studies of hospital library mainly focused on clinical and scientific research services, but paid less attention to the support to hospital scientific research management.Conclusions:The service of hospital library is involved in the whole process of scientific research management. To improve the role of hospital library in scientific management, embedded service is recommended to be applied into the whole process of hospital scientific research management; construction of institutional repository for scientific research management and transformation of the role of hospital library are also highly recommended.

Abstract:The construction of librarian team is the cornerstone of the stable development of librarianship. Looking back on 40 years of development, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library has always focused on closely the talent strategy for university development, running through two keywords of academic and innovative in the construction of librarian team. Under the continuous optimization of the organization and the librarian team, a path of the construction of an innovative librarian team has been established. Specifically, it includes a concept, three vision requirements, a set of system, and four core abilities. Through the path, a high level librarian team can be cultivated, in order to achieve a standard, smart and special information knowledge service center that matches the world’s first-class university.

Abstract:Based on the fact that most of the Nobel Prize winners are university professors,this paper argues that universities possesses the atmosphere and conditions of the freedom of academic exploration which are indispensable for basic research.It points out that great importance is not attached to potential advantages of freedom of academic exploration in current universities, and the primary position of basic research is not affirmed.In fact,the advocated mode of big projects,big platforms and big teams is just to follow practices of research institutes in development and applied research,highlight the team spirit and the tactics of tackling key problems,which ignores the core ability of universities themselves.This is a dislocation of science research work in universities.The paper indicates that the present science research work in universities actually follows the strategic idea of mission-oriented,and emphasizes particularly on the development and applied research,the team spirit and the tactics of accomplishment.This paper suggests adopting the infrastructure-oriented strategic idea,improving the conditions of software and hardware based on basic research,and spurring every researcher to sufficiently exert the spirit of the freedom of academic exploration with the skirmisher-type tactics.
