Abstract:It involves a lot of work to realize the integration of cultural ecosystem and human settlement system. The purpose of this research is to solve the damage caused by the construction of the New District of Zhoushan islands, and to realize the harmonious development of the relationship between the people and the people from the perspective of cultural ecology. The present writer locates in the location based on the combination of the New District, make ful use of theories of cultural ecology and living environment, starting from the practical scientific point of view, on the islands of Zhoushan city construction of the past, present and future are analyzed comprehensively and carefuly, in order to improve the overal quality of the regional living environment.

Abstract:The measures for optimizing the land utilization and structure were put forward according to the analysis of the relation between the land utilization and environmental construction in Shangqiu city.The eco-environment bearing capacity of land resources was analyzed by using the ecological environment vulnerability assessment.The result showed that land environment of Shangqiu city was in a weak balanceable phases,the ability of maintaining system homeostasis was weak and anti-jamming ability was also weak.

Abstract:Eco-city is a kind of pattern and process to realize sustainable development of urban society,economy and nature.Taking Jining of Shandong Province as the case study,the strategic measures were advanced for Jining eco-city construction.The development goals included industry eco-transition,natural ecological restoration of water and mine,social flourishing of Confucius and Mencius culture.The development framework was composed of self-generating eco-environment,competitive circular economy and symbiotic harmonious society.The industry should be transformed from traditional agriculture and mining to vein industry,sun industry,matter transportation industry,culture industry and tourism industry.Water resource,water environment,water ecology,water landscape,water security and water culture should be taken into account to water resource protection and water environment management.Lately the strategies for(ecological) restoration and eco-culture construction were also put forward.

Abstract:Resources are basic requirements for the construction of eco-cities and are important limitations for urban development.When making protective strategies for sustainable utilization of resources in constructing eco-city,the quantity of resources and the conflict between resource conditions and development of urban society and economy should be considered synthetically.Based on the profound connotation of eco-city,the scope on sustainable utilization of resources should be extended.People should focus on natural and biological resources,and also on human resources.We must pay adequate attention to cultures of a city by inheriting and protecting them in constructing eco-city. As a case,Changzhou was studied in relation to sustainable utilization of land,water resource,biological resources,and human resources,and a conceptual planning was established,which provided important guarantee for utilizing resource advantage to obtain its ecological and environmental benefits.

Abstract:The future community construction in Zhejiang Province focuses on the renovation and renewal of the old community, which is an iterative upgrade of the existing community construction and operation. In 1961, WHO proposed The living environment standard of “Safe, Healthy, Comfortable and Convenient”, Singapore New Town Planning and Design set a experience of community construction. Centered on “The People’s Wish for a Good Life”, integrating the new residential development concept of “Innovative, Coordinated, Green, Open and Shared Development”, the future community will explore to solve the practical difficulties such as population agglomeration, industrial supporting and spatial integration. By building a housing system include that basic-need housing, commercial housing, high-grade housing, and equalizing public services, in order to build inclusive future communities. Relying on digital information and other new technologies to enable the effective transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, so as to better support the development of communities. At the same time, the embedded governance of “government, market and society” should be played to make the future community integrate organically into the surrounding areas and become an organic integrated regional whole. As both China and Western countries face an impending ecological crisis, responding to that crisis is a common challenge for all human beings. Abstract:The construction of community culture is the spiritual support of constructing a harmonious community, the internal requirement to satisfy the increasing cultural demands and an important way to effectively solve a series of new problems in the transformational period of the society. In the new historical conditions, the construction of community culture should, methodologically, embody the following integrities: wholeness and hierarchy; universality and profoundness; generality and specialty; oneness and diversity; temporal effectiveness and foresightedness, successiveness and innovation, spontaneity and organization, and regionalism and openness; the structure operation, capital management and system running of the mechanism should be in order. The consciousness of wholeness and the foresighted view guaranteed the optimized distribution and sustainable utilization of resources, and the sustainable plan, heavy investment and high quality of the personnel are used for promoting the long term development of the community culture.

Abstract:"Eco-Landscape Infrastructure" has attracted people's attention with emerging practice,cases,and technology in the present world.Its role in reshaping contemporary landscapes through major public works has been witnessed all over the world.In terms of long-term social benefits,Eco-infrastructure is the blood of the cities,which is slow and long-lasting.When completed,its economic returns can also be slow and long-term.On one hand,infrastructure is a means to the end of a journey serving as a device for transporting,supporting and maintenance.On the other hand,it is also a catalyst,laying the foundations for social,economic and cultural changes and making the real world full of poetic meanings.Ecological civilization is a worldwide issue.It also has great significance for contemporary China.In the 16th National Congress it is made clear that Ecological civilization is one of the most important contents for socialist construction.As a result,we should not only attach great importance to ecological issues and thus solve the eco-environmental problems,but also view it as an important part for the construction of socialism with Chinese features as well as a significant issue for global development and human survival.Accordingly,with this ideological guidance,we can better recognize that the conventional infrastructure system,which was built based on population growth,is now unable to meet the challenges and needs of the ecological and sustainable urban development.Accordingly,it is even more challenging to achieve the goal of ecological civilization.It is under such a background that we put forward the theory of "Eco-landscape Infrastructure",which will be greatly helpful for exploring an effective way to control urban growth and protect its ecological and cultural characteristics.
Activating Eco-City in China: the System Engineering for Cities' Green Transition

Abstract:The development of eco-city in China turns to a phenomenon recently, and some sample projects have been scheduled in the nationwide. Nevertheless, the planning of eco-city focuses on static construction with green technologies; in this study, the planning and operation of eco-city will be regarded as a complex system engineering that requires collaboration of systems from various categories and considerations for the sustainable development of eco-city. The framework suggests a core of circular economy that activates and maintains the development of eco-city; four key categories in the process of system engineering will interlink to each other and interact with economy activities in the framework. Several pilot international standards of eco-city, including LEED-ND, CASBEE-UD, and EEWH-EC are applied to monitor and evaluate the performance of entire eco-city system. Through the system engineering process, challenges and goals of eco-city will be analyzed and clarified at early stage, and a supposed framework of system design will be applied for planning and operating with monitoring mechanism. This work will enhance viewpoints of urban designing towards a more dynamic, systematic insight of eco-city development.
