Abstract:This research investigates the dynamics of higher-order nonlinear difference equations, specifically concentrating on seventh-order instances. Analytical solutions are obtained for particular equations, a formidable task owing to the absence of explicit mathematical techniques for their resolution. The qualitative characteristics of solutions, such as their stability, boundedness, and periodicity, are analysed by theoretical methods and numerical simulations. The results indicate that equilibrium points frequently lack local asymptotic stability, leading to intricate phenomena such as unbounded solutions and periodic attractors. These findings augment our understanding of nonlinear difference equations, offering significant implications for their use across various scientific fields.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the global attractivity, the invariant intervals, the periodic and oscillatory character of the difference equationx(n+1) = a+bx(n)/Ax(n) + Bx(n-k), n = 0,1...,where a , b , A , B are positive real numbers, k greater than or equal to1 is a positive integer, and the initial conditions x(-k) ,..., x(-1) , x(0) are nonnegative real numbers such that x(-k) or x(0) or both are positive real numbers. We show that the positive equilibrium of the difference equation is a global attractor. As a corollary, our main result confirms a conjecture proposed by Kulenovic et al. (2003) [The dynamics of x(n+1) =(alpha+ betax(n))/( A + Bx(n) + Cx(n-1)) facts and conjectures, Computational Mathematics Applications , 45 , 1087-1099].

Abstract:In this paper, we study asymptotic behaviour of solutions of the following higher order nonlinear dynamic equations and on an arbitrary time scale with sup , where n is a positive integer, or -1 and with being a quotient of two odd positive integers and every () being positive rd-continuous function. We obtain some sufficient conditions for the equivalence of the oscillation of the above equations.

Discrete Dynamics in Nature and Society

Abstract:Global dynamics of a system of nonlinear difference equations was investigated, which had five kinds of equilibria including isolated points and a continuum of nonhyperbolic equilibria along the coordinate axes. The local stability of these equilibria was analyzed which led to nine regions in the parameters space. The solution of the system converged to the equilibria or the boundary point (+∞,0) or (0,+∞) in each region depending on nonnegative initial conditions. These results completely described the behavior of the system.

Abstract:This paper aims to derive analytical expressions for solutions of fractional bidimensional systems of difference equations with higher-order terms under specific parametric conditions. Additionally, formulations of solutions for one-dimensional equations derived from these systems are explored. Furthermore, rigorous proof is provided for the local stability of the unique positive equilibrium point of the proposed systems. The theoretical findings are validated through numerical examples using MATLAB, facilitating graphical illustrations of the results.

Abstract:In this paper, a class of higher-dimensional reaction-diffusion equations with a polynomial nonlinearity is considered. A fully discrete finite difference scheme is established. The existence and uniqueness of the difference solutions are achieved, and then the dynamical behaviour of the discrete system is analysed. The existence of global attractor of the discrete system are proved by a priori estimate of the difference solution. Finally, long-time stability and convergence of the difference scheme are proved.
