Abstract:The main goal of the paper is to investigate boundedness, invariant intervals, semicycles, and global attractivity of all nonnegative solutions of the equation , , where the parameters , is an integer, and the initial conditions . It is shown that the unique positive equilibrium of the equation is globally asymptotically stable under the condition . The result partially solves the open problem proposed by Kulenović and Ladas in work (2002).

Discrete Dynamics in Nature and Society

Abstract:Global dynamics of a system of nonlinear difference equations was investigated, which had five kinds of equilibria including isolated points and a continuum of nonhyperbolic equilibria along the coordinate axes. The local stability of these equilibria was analyzed which led to nine regions in the parameters space. The solution of the system converged to the equilibria or the boundary point (+∞,0) or (0,+∞) in each region depending on nonnegative initial conditions. These results completely described the behavior of the system.

Abstract:In this paper,a class of rational difference equation is studied.By respectively considering three cases,some explicit formulas of solutions are obtained and the stability and asymptotic behavior of solutions are discussed via using these explicit formulas.Compared with some previous results,our results are more general and less conservative.Finally,some numerical simulations are presented to show the effectiveness and feasibility of our results.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the global attractivity, the invariant intervals, the periodic and oscillatory character of the difference equationx(n+1) = a+bx(n)/Ax(n) + Bx(n-k), n = 0,1...,where a , b , A , B are positive real numbers, k greater than or equal to1 is a positive integer, and the initial conditions x(-k) ,..., x(-1) , x(0) are nonnegative real numbers such that x(-k) or x(0) or both are positive real numbers. We show that the positive equilibrium of the difference equation is a global attractor. As a corollary, our main result confirms a conjecture proposed by Kulenovic et al. (2003) [The dynamics of x(n+1) =(alpha+ betax(n))/( A + Bx(n) + Cx(n-1)) facts and conjectures, Computational Mathematics Applications , 45 , 1087-1099].

Abstract:Discrete-time systems are sometimes used to explain natural phenomena encountered in nonlinear sciences. We study the periodicity, boundedness, oscillation, stability, and some exact solutions of nonlinear difference equations. Exact solutions are obtained by using the standard iterative method. Some well-known theorems are used to test the stability of equilibrium points. Some numerical examples are also provided to confirm the validity of the theoretical results. The numerical component is implemented with the Wolfram Mathematica. The presented method may be simply applied to some other rational recursive issues. Abstract:In this paper,a special rational system of third-order difference is discussed.Firstly,we analyze the existence and stability of equilibria.It is showed that the trivial equilibrium is locally stable,and the positive equilibrium is unstable.Further,we consider the existence of prime period-two solutions.And the convergence rate from the solutions to the trivial equilibrium is studied.Finally,the results are verified by numerical simulations.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the global stability of the difference equation xn+1=xna+a0xn+⋯+akxn-k,n=0,1,…, where the parameters a,ai∈(0,∞) for i=0,…,k, x-k,…, x-1∈[0,∞) and x0∈(0,∞). We prove that the unique positive equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable if and only if it is locally asymptotically. Also we provide sufficient condition for it to be globally asymptotically stable and our results solve the open problem proposed by Kulenović and Ladas (Dynamics of Second Order Rational Difference Equations with Open Problems and Conjectures, Chapman & Hall/CRC, Boca Raton, 2002).

Abstract:Rational difference equations have a wide range of applications in various fields of science. To illustrate, the equation xn+1=a+bxnc+dxn,n=0,1,..., known as the Riccati difference equation, has been applied in the field of optics. In this study, the global asymptotic stability of the difference equation xn+1=Axn−2k+j+1B+Cxn−(k+j)xn−2k+j+1,n=0,1,..., is proved. The solutions of this difference equation are obtained by applying the standard iteration method, and the periodicity of these solutions is determined. Furthermore, this difference equation represents a generalisation of the results obtained in previous studies.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to discuss a nonlinear rational difference equation system with three variables. Firstly, by utilizing Jacobian theory, the stability of the system is obtained.
