Abstract:There is concerned with global behavior of nonlinear rational difference equation.By using qualitative and stability theory of nonlinear difference equations together with some inequality techniques,we study the stability and attractivity of equilibria.

Abstract:Global dynamics of a system of nonlinear difference equations was investigated, which had five kinds of equilibria including isolated points and a continuum of nonhyperbolic equilibria along the coordinate axes. The local stability of these equilibria was analyzed which led to nine regions in the parameters space. The solution of the system converged to the equilibria or the boundary point (+∞,0) or (0,+∞) in each region depending on nonnegative initial conditions. These results completely described the behavior of the system.

Abstract:We mainly investigate the global asymptotic stability and exponential convergence of positive solutions to two families of higher-order difference equations, one of which was recently studied in Stević's paper (2010). A new concise proof is given to a quite recent result by Stević and analogous parallel result of the other inverse equation, which extend related results of Aloqeili (2009), Berenhaut and Stević (2007), and Liao et al. Our main result in the paper extends some related results from the work of Gibbons et al. (2000), Iričanin (2007), and Stević (vol. 33, no. 12, pages 1767–1774, 2002; vol. 6, no. 3, pages 405–414, 2002; vol. 9, no. 4, pages 583–593, 2005). Besides, several examples and open problems are presented in the end.

Abstract:In this paper the global attractivity of the nonlinear difference equationis investigated, where a,b, A ∈ （0,∞）, k is an positive integer and the initial conditions x- k, …, x-1 and x0 are arbitrary positive numbers. It is shown that the unique positive equilibrium of the equation is global attractive. As a corollary, the result gives a positive confirmation on the conjecture presented by Kocic and Ladas [1,p154].

We show that one positive equilibrium of the equation is a global attractor with a basin that depends on certain conditions posed on the coefficients.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a higher order difference equation of the form xn+1=f(xn,xn−k),n=1,2,3,…, under some certain assumptions. We obtain that the length of its finite semicycle is less than or equal to k. Moreover, we concluded that the equation is permanent under some special conditions. And a sufficient condition for its global asymptotical stability is given. When these results are applied to the difference equation xn+1=α+xn−kxn,n=1,2,3,…, some sufficient and necessary conditions of global asymptotical stability of the equation are obtained. We should state out that the main theorem in [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 233 (1999) 790–798] is included in one of our results.
