Abstract:With the development of large-scale coal mining equipment, fully-mechanized mining faces with 8 m or higher mining height have been applied successfully. However, the increase in yield and mining space makes it difficult for traditional dust prevention techniques to handle dust pollution issues. In order to solve this problem, a method of dust removal by ventilation was creatively proposed for fully-mechanized mining faces. Also, exemplified by the 12513 fully-mechanized mining face of Bulianta Coal Mine, a numerical calculation model was established. By combining theory, numerical simulation and field test, an “onboard dust removal” technology was proposed and a dust collector mounted on the coal cutter was developed. Besides, with numerical simulation and industrial field experiment, it was validated that the proposed technology could reduce the dust particle mass concentration near the sidewalk by 77.2% with a comprehensive average dust suppression efficiency of 74.25%. It provides a practical basis for creating a green and safe production environment in coal mines.

Abstract:In order to solve resource waste problem in the process of mining thick coal seam and to realize safe and high efficiency production,we studied large mining height technique for thick coal seam.Firstly we analyzed advantages and disadvantages of some commonly used mining techniques and select the fully mechanized mining method for thick coal seam.Then we used the fuzzy assessing model and hierarchy analysis,for the first time,to assess the fully mechanized mining working face and to select the mining method of two-ways cutting.In addition,we analyzed the characteristics of first weighting and the pace of periodic weighting,which provided feasible basis for hydraulic support and its matching equipment of the large mining height working face.As a result,the average daily output of the working face reaches 6 300 t.The achievement can be taken as a reference for working faces with similar conditions.

Abstract:As the major heavy equipment in coal mine machine industry,when heading machines are delivered to users after they are produced,a lot of tests will have been carried through to confirm whether all kind of functions could meet the demand of users. Therefore on the base of designing special mutative angle platform,a data acquisition system has been implemented to complete the factory tests. Through designing the whole system and software and hardware,data could be transmitted to center control room,the principle of DCS is applied to this test system,finally the system has been used in SANY Heavy Equipment Co,Ltd. and the effect is fine.

Abstract:Lifting coarse mineral particles from thousands of meters of seabed to the supportive vessSel is a crucial part of exploitation of deep-sea mineral resources, and the vertical transportation part is a key component of the deep-sea mining system. Three typical vertical transportation schemes are discussed and compared from the aspects of working mechanism, structural scheme, transportation capacity, system efficiency and implementation feasibility in the context of commercial exploitation of deep-sea polymetallic nodules. The conclusion is that the hydraulic pipeline lifting system with a centrifugal pump is a comprehensive scheme. Furthermore, the basic composition and function of the hydraulic lifting system are introduced, and the transportation performance indicators and technical requirements under commercial mining conditions are analyzed. As the key equipment of the lifting system, the structural characteristics, design theory, transportation performance analysis methods and research progress of the lifting pump are described. A 1000 m sea trial was carried out. The lifting system, the tests of the centrifugal pump and the sea trial are introduced.

Abstract:As an important technology of thick coal seam mining, fully mechanized mining with a large mining height has high mining efficiency. In order to study the roof safety control of large mining height working face, the 122106 working face of Caojiatan coal mine is taken as the engineering background. The numerical simulation method is used to analyze the control ability of roof subsidence when the support strength is 1.2 MPa, 1.4 MPa, 1.6 MPa, 1.8 MPa, 2.0 MPa, and 2.2 MPa. The results show that the support strength of hydraulic support is negatively correlated with roof subsidence. Through theoretical analysis of the mechanical model of the support and surrounding rock under the filling condition, it is shown that the height of the gap between the filling body and roof is the main influencing factor of roof subsidence: the smaller the height of the gap between the filling body and roof, the better the control effect on the roof. Through numerical simulation, the roof subsidence and surface subsidence under different filling rates are analyzed. The results show that when the filling rate increases to 80% the control of roof subsidence achieves better results. Taking production safety and economic benefits into consideration, when the reasonable support strength of the working face is determined to be 2.0 MPa and the filling rate is 80%, the safety control of the working face roof can be ensured.

Abstract:With the continuous popularization and application of TBM equipment and technology in the field of coal mine, aiming at the problems of small torque and small propulsion of existing TBM advanced exploration drilling rigs for coal mine, which is difficult to drill long borehole, and lack of special high-power drilling equipment to match with it, a high-power drilling rig for coal mine TBM is developed. This paper introduces the structure of the drilling rig, analyzes the structure and principle of the luffing mechanism and the rotary table protection device, also the strength of the key parts. Through the application in Guineng Group Heilaga Juxin coal mine shows that this equipment has large torque and propulsion, the hydraulic system and operation mode meet the requirements of long-distance separate layout in TBM. The drilling rig has good stability and high efficiency, and can meet the various needs of long drilling for advanced exploration, which promotes the application of TBM equipment and technology in the field of coal mine.

Abstract:In order to solve the problems of complicated advanced support process, high labor intensity, affecting the rapid advance of working face and the destruction of roof bolt (cable) by advance single hydraulic prop in ultra kilometer deep mine roadway, the deformation characteristics of roadway surrounding rock is analyzed. Taking the 27304 working face of Wanglou coal mine as the engineering background, numerical simulation, field monitoring, and theoretical calculation were used to analyze the deformation characteristics of roadway surrounding rock within the advanced influence range of 27304 working face. This paper puts forward the active advance support technology scheme, in which grouting anchor cable replaces the existing single hydraulic prop in the advance influence range of the working face in the ultra-kilometer deep mine, and observes and analyzes the deformation and failure characteristics of the surrounding rock of the working face advance roadway. The numerical simulation results show that in the advanced influence range of deep roadway, grouting anchor cable was used to replace the previous single hydraulic prop, and the vertical stress at both ends of the working face decreased by 15 MPa, with a decrease rate of 33.3%; the displacement of roadway roof, floor, and two sides decreased by 10 mm, 55 mm, and 20 mm, with a decrease rate of 40%, 68.75%, and 47.6%, respectively. The field monitoring results show that the roof separation is obviously improved after using grouting anchor cable as the active advance support scheme. It solves the problem of safe and efficient production faced by the ultra-kilometer deep shaft in Wanglou coal mine and provides theoretical and technical support for unmanned double roadway advance support under the condition of safe and efficient mining.

Abstract:This research aimed to examine shortcomings such as low efficiency and unstable coal release of 2313 large inclined-angle comprehensively released working faces in 230 mining areas of a mine in Shandong. Through the study of the actual working conditions of the large inclined-angle comprehensive release working face, it is concluded that the mining efficiency of the large inclined-angle coal seam is mainly related to the sequence of coal release, the step distance of the coal release, the distance between the end faces, the mining height, the working resistance of the hydraulic bracket and other factors. Taking ZF5600/16.5/26 hydraulic support as an example, simulation software was used to study the influencing factors of coal release efficiency, and the most efficient coal release method was found through the control variable method, so as to improve the mining recovery efficiency of the overall working face of the large inclined-angle coal seam, and after optimizing the working conditions of the hydraulic support, the top coal recovery efficiency was increased by 14.3% compared with the previous one after the actual statistics of the field situation.

Abstract:In this study, we developed a blowing–spraying synergistic dust collector installed on a hydraulic support with the aim of reducing dust pollution at fully mechanized faces. A high-speed airflow in the same direction of the dust collector’s spray improved its effective range and created high-quality spray and wind curtains. These curtains covered the space between the fully mechanized face coal wall and the hydraulic support column, thus promoting dust removal. A numerical simulation of the spray of the blowing-spraying synergistic dust collector was conducted based on a local model of the full scale fully mechanized face. The results showed that, when the hydraulic motor was disabled and the spray pressure increased from 2 to 5 MPa, the proportion of area covered by the high-quality spray field (where the concentration was > 10 g/m3) in Section Q rapidly increased from 3.62% (2 MPa) to 32.47% (5 MPa). When the hydraulic motor was enabled, the proportion of area covered by the high-quality spray field in Section Q increased to 85.6%: indicating that the effective coverage of the spray field in the fully mechanized face was greatly enhanced under the action of the high-speed airflow. Application and dust measurements were conducted in the 22,104 fully mechanized face of Shangwan Coal Mine. After the activation of blowing–spraying synergistic dust collectors at the front and rear drums of the shearer, the respirable dust concentration at the place of the shearer driver’s location diminished to 19.7 mg/m3 and the dust removal rate became 90.3%, indicating an effective dust removal.

Abstract:In recent years, with the development of the coal mining industry, the underground broken surrounding rock grouting process in mines has played a vital role in the safe production of coal mines. At the same time, in order to adapt to the needs of intelligence and unmanned operation, a new process is urgently needed to assist grouting work.At present, among the many broken surrounding rock strengthening control methods in mines, drilling grouting is a widely used rock stratum modification technical measure, but with the continuous deepening of coal mining, the underground geological conditions are becoming more and more complex, and the stability of its roof and floor is seriously threatened. In order to ensure the safe production of mines, the broken surrounding rock grouting reinforcement technology has become an important support means. However, traditional grouting equipment has problems such as low work efficiency and complex operation. Its method of dealing with broken surrounding rock mainly relies on manual drilling and grouting. Especially when the drilling depth is large and the position is high, the workload of pushing the grouting pipe into the borehole is large, the labor intensity is high, the safety hazards are large, and the efficiency is generally low. Therefore, this paper studies and discusses the design principle, structural characteristics and working principle of an integrated composite grouting equipment for underground movement, delivery, mixing and injection in coal mines, and verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the equipment.
Development of a novel wind-assisted centralized spraying dedusting device for dust suppression in a fully mechanized mining face

Abstract:Aiming at addressing serious pollution in the No. 30106 fully mechanized coal mining face of Shiquan Coal Mine during coal cutting process, the spraying device between hydraulic supports was improved through the combination of experimental analysis, numerical simulation, and field measurement, and a novel wind-assisted centralized spraying dedusting device was developed. The newly developed device could make the formed spraying field more concentrated on the dust-producing source around the coal shearer's drum, and thus significantly enhanced the spraying performance. According to numerical simulation results, the spraying performance reached the optimum at a hydraulic pressure of 8 MPa for the spraying device and an air pressure of 1 MPa for the pneumatic motor; under these optimal conditions, the droplet concentration in the spraying field around the coal cutter drum was as high as 24.85 g/m3, and the formed high-concentration spraying field could basically cover the whole section in the spraying field from coal wall to the support pillar. Field measured results revealed that, at a hydraulic pressure of 8 MPa and an air pressure of 1 MPa, the dust suppression rate around coal cutter driver reached up to 87.96%, suggesting that the developed wind-assisted centralized spraying dedusting device had remarkable dust suppression performance and could effectively improve the operating environment in the fully mechanized mining face. Graphical Abstract In this paper, we have designed a novel wind-assisted centralized spraying dedusting device and studied the optimal spray parameters. Firstly, the nozzles were selected according to the multi-factor experimental platform for measuring the spraying field's atomization characteristics. Abstract:Abstract The grid structure is more and more widely used in the civil engineering industry, but due to the large number of rods and complex installation, it is extremely difficult to construct at high altitude. In order to overcome this problem, engineers proposed a hydraulic jacking method. The mechanical properties of steel structures are more complicated, especially in the construction process, the force situation and the design load is quite different. In order to explore the reliability of the hydraulic lifting process of the steel grid, this article takes the hydraulic lifting technology of the steel grid roof of a hangar as the engineering background. This project uses Sap2000 finite element analysis software to model, simulate the construction process of the jacking grid, analyze the mechanical characteristics and stability of the grid during the jacking process, and use it to guide the construction. The results show that: for large grid structures constructed at high altitudes and hydraulic jacking technology can effectively improve the construction efficiency and safety.

Abstract:To control the problem of coal wall spalling in large mining height working faces subject to mining, considering the Duanwang Mine 150505 fully mechanized working face, the mechanism of coal wall spalling in working faces was investigated by theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and field experiment. Based on analysis of coal wall spalling in the working face, a new grouting material was developed. The stress and plastic zone changes affecting the coal wall, before and after grouting in the working face, were analyzed using numerical simulation and surrounding rock grouting reinforcement technology was proposed for application around the new grouting material. The results showed that: (1) serious spalling of the 150505 working face was caused by the large mining height, fault influence and low roof strength, and (2) the new nano-composite low temperature polymer materials used have characteristics of rapid reaction, low polymerization temperature, adjustable setting time, high strength and environmental protection. Based on analysis of the working face coal wall spalling problem, grouting reinforcement technology based on new materials was proposed. Industrial tests were carried out on the working face. Field monitoring showed that the stability of the working face coal wall was significantly enhanced and that rib spalling was significantly improved after comprehensive anti-rib-spalling grouting measures were adopted. These results provide a basis for rib spalling control of working faces under similar conditions.

Abstract:by Chen Peng; Peng Shiyang; Yang Tao; Chen Xuexi; Wang Pengfei International Journal of Wireless and Mobile Computing (IJWMC), Vol. 20, No. 4, 2021 Mining of fully mechanised intelligent working face with large mining height (MFMIWF-LMH) is a technology which allows the mining of 3.5-8.8 m thick coal seams at one time using a whole set of fully mechanised mining intelligent equipment. The MFMIWF-LMH is characterised by complex production process, numerous types of equipment and severe mine pressure. In terms of mine pressure appearance, MFMIWF-LMH is likely to undergo a significant increase in the failure strength of surrounding rock, an obvious rise of the abutment pressure and peak value, and rib spalling and roof fall of coal wall. The study analyses the problems existing in MFMIWF-LMH and puts forward targeted solutions. In addition, it is proposed in the study that the system of MFMIWF-LMH is a complex systematic engineering whose key control technologies include general control network technology, coupling control technology of surrounding rock support, high-definition visualisation technology, rapid support-moving control technology, and equipment 3D virtual reality technology in the working face.
