The Differences and Causes of the Cross-Strait Common Language from Two Gaps

Abstract:The most important intralinguistic reason,resulting in many differences of the Cross-Strait written language,is the two gaps which basically present a confrontation distribution.First,for the gap between contemporary Mandarin and early modern Mandarin,the mainland's is much larger than Taiwan's.Second,for the gap between written and spoken language,Taiwan's is much larger than the mainland's.To research the differences in the Cross-Strait common national language,according to the two gaps,will contribute to understanding the macro scope of the causes of the Cross-Strait language differences.And it will also help us to broaden our research field,to find a new studying growth point,to proceed from one field to others,and to promote the research on "HUAYU".
