Abstract:Different countries are characterized with varying stages of socioeconomic development, some are developed, some are newly industrializing, and some are still under-developed.this study shows that almost all the developing countries face the same problems to vary degree in the field of education, such as financial constraints; lack of equipments, facilities, textbooks and eligible teachers, high dropout and high repetition rates in primary and secondary schools;wide knowledge gaps within their societies regional , rural-urban imbalances and gender inequity) ;and brain drain. With the new revolution occurs in technology, the national development depends much more than previously on well-trained, flexible labor; innovative, problem-solving management; and cadres of highly-trained scientists, engineers, and social scientists. This means that educational system in each country has become fundamental to its national development. This is a challenge that confronts all developing countries and makes educational reform urgent to them.

Abstract:As a social phenomenon,religion has increasingly greater influence on people in their daily life.However,its negative effect on the forming of people's sublime mental outlook must not be neglected.Religious beliefs are subject consciousness in a twisted,dissimilated form,or subject consciousness deprived of its subjectivity.They rob people of their subjectivity-based spirit of self-sufficiency,self-reliance,self-empowerment,and represent a negative mindset of people void of motivation and creativity.Religion prevents people from forming a sublime mental outlook which consists of the spirit of science,humanism,practice,criticism and self-transcendence.In the formation of socialist spiritual civilization,therefore,we should try to offset the negative effect of religion on the forming of people's mental outlook,as well as promoting the positive effect of religion on cultural development.

Abstract:Lacan's thought of “false needs”digested the legitimacy of Freud's “instinctive I”;Seng Zhao's theory of “Unreal Empty”summarized the disputation between “real”and “unreal”since the Wei and Jin Dynasties.There are similarities between them.They both see the “false”or “not true”nature of human desire;at the same time,both believe that the solution is hidden in the “language”or “name”.Today,they have common contemporary value.In the period of social transition in current China,there are many contra-dictions resulting from the needs of a wide variety,and the contradiction between the needs is bound to trigger various conflicts of de-sire.People's desire reflects their needs,but sometimes it will deviate from their real needs.To solve the contradiction between the needs requires continuous progress of society;but the resolution of conflicts relies more on detachment in the spiritual realm.Spirit realm,refers to understanding and awareness of the world as well as the ontology of the universe.Realizing that fortune is “not real”and fame “false name”can make us get rid of the shackles of fame and fortune,listen to our inner voice and understand our real needs.It also can make our spirit more healthy,help achieve ourselves and fulfill our own life.

Such predicament is the likely result of the development policy of the U.S. Taking advantages of its privileged status in international organizations and by exporting neoliberalism, the U.S. changed the development model of the developing countries and hindered their process of state-building. Under such circumstances, the developing countries can neither handle the challenges both home and abroad nor reform the international political and economic order. In the post-crisis era, the relative decline of the U.S. and the rise of China has changed the distribution of power in the world, providing new opportunities for the world to get out of the developmental predicament.

Abstract:Under the current trend of globalization, there are three major ideas obstructing the advocation and promotion of Sino-West cultural communication.One idea claims that the cultural communication on equal terms is impossible and the general trend of world cultures will end up in one culture replacing the other.Another idea argues that the merging of cultures will eventually lead to unified world culture with no distinction.The last one tends to magnify the untranslatability between different languages and cultural systems.Analysis is carried out here as to the possilility of different cultures communicating equally,the possibility of achieving the unified world culture with no distinction,and the possibility of accurate translating between cultures.Whereupon a wish is proposed:both China and the West should seek deeper awareness and understanding of each other,and promote the further communication and merging of the two cultures on the common ground of equality.
