Abstract:Objective:This disquisition investigates determination of aluminium in puffed food by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry.Methods:Pretest samples using mixed acid,and magnesium was adopted as matrix modifier to determine by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry.Results:The lowest detection limit of the method was 3.4×10-11 g,the relative standard deviation was less than 10%(the amount of aluminium was 0.30 mg/kg),and the average recovery was 95%～108%.Conclusion:The method is sensitive and selective,has higher recovery,and is suitable for daily determination.
[Pretreatment of Aluminum-Lithium Alloy Sample and Determination of Argentum and Lithium by Spectral Analysis]

Abstract:Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES), Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (FAAS) and Visible Spectrometry (VS) was applied for determination of Ag and Li in lithium-aluminium alloy standard sample and test sample, their respective advantages and disadvantages were compared, the excellent selectivity of ICP-OES was confirmed by analyses of certified standard sample. Three different sample digestion methods were compared and discussed in this study. It was found that the better accuracy would be obtained by digesting sample with chloroazotic acid while the content of Li was measured by FAAS, and it was better to digest sample with hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide while determining Ag and Li by ICP-OES simultaneously and determining Ag by FAAS and VS. The interference of co-existing elements and elimination methods was detailedly discussed. Ammonium hydroxide was added to adjust the sample solution into alkalescent and Al, Ti, Zr was precipitated by forming hydroxide precipitation, Mg and Cu was formed complex precipitation with 8-hydroxyquinoline in this condition, then the interference from matrix element to determinate Ag by FAAS was eliminated. In addition, phosphate was used to precipitate Ti to eliminate its interference for determination of Li by FAAS. The same treatment of determination for Ag by FAAS was used to eliminate the interference of matrix element for determination of Ag by VS, the excess of nitrate was added into sample and heated to release Ag+ from silver chloride complex, and the color of 8-hydroxyquinoline was eliminated because of decomposed by heating. The accuracy of analysis result for standard sample was conspicuously improved which confirms the efficient of the method to eliminate interference in this study. The optimal digestion method and eliminate interference method was applied to lithium-aluminium alloy samples. The recovery of samples was from 100.39% to 103.01% by ICP-OES determination for Ag, and from 100.42% to 103.01% by ICP-OES determination for Li. The recovery ranged from 95.91% to 99.98% by FAAS determination for Ag, and ranged from 98.04% to 99.98% for FAAS determination of Li. The recovery was from 98.00% to 101.00 by VS determination for Ag, the analysis results all meet the analysis requirement.

Abstract:A simple and reliable electroanalytical method for the fast determination of different species of aluminum (total Al-T, acid soluble Al-r, monomeric Al-a, inorganic monomeric Al-i, organic monomeric Al-o) in natural waters by a. c. oscillochronopotentiometry using berryllon III and calcion is described. In alkaline buffer solution ( pH 8.0), calcion was used to determine the total monomeric aluminum, and in acidified buffer solution (pH 5.0), berryllon III was used to detect the inorganic monomeric aluminum. This method was successfully applied to the analysis of different species of Al in real natural water samples. The results were found in good agreement with those obtained by Driscoll's method. Chemical equilibrium principle was applied to prove the theoretical foundation of the proposed method for determining different species of Al in natural waters.

Abstract:In view of the increasing scarcity of bauxite resources in China, the high energy consumption and high pollution of electrolytic aluminum, and the requirements for energy conservation and environmental protection, aluminum recycling and high-value utilization of its derivatives have evolved into a crucial development requirement for the aluminum industry in the future. As an important part of the development of recycled aluminum resources, the high-value application of scrap aluminum cans has always been a hot research topic in various recycled aluminum processing enterprises and scientific research units. The traditional regeneration system of waste cans includes a series of complex technological processes such as pretreatment, paint removal, smelting system and casting system, which is difficult to control in the middle of the process. Most of the recycled scrap aluminum cans are cast and downgraded for later use, except for a part of them used as alloy materials for new cans. In this paper, combined with the research on the preparation of metal aluminum alkoxide, combined with recrystallization heat conduction to further study the effective dissolution or adsorption how to remove impurity elements to obtain high-purity aluminum alcohol salt mechanism research, and thermal effect of alcohols with different carbon chains on the synthesis of high-purity aluminum alkoxide was further investigated. Moreover, the changes in morphology and pore size distribution of hydrolyzed alumina precursor materials under different hydrothermal temperature conditions were discussed by means of the alkoxide hydrolysis-sol-gel process. Eventually, the aluminum alkoxide was obtained by the reaction of waste cans with isopropanol and heavy crystal thermal conductivity, and the high-purity aluminum alkoxide was purified by vacuum distillation. Under the hydrothermal condition of 160°C, the high-purity alumina material with a purity of 99.99% and an original crystal size of 200nm was prepared.

Abstract:Dissolved aluminium in mineral water is determined by semi-differential anodic adsorptive stripping voltammetry based on the formation of an electroactive complex between aluminium(Ⅲ) and 8-hydroxyquinoline. The oxidative peak potential of the complex was 0.87V vs. Ag/AgCl (saturated with KCl) at a glassy carbon electrode in aqueous ammonium acetate (0.024mol·L~(-1) pH 6.0). No serious interferences of coexisting ions were observed. A good linear relationship between the peak current and Al(Ⅲ) concentration in the ranges of 8.00×10~(-8)～4.00×10~(-6) and 1.00×10~(-5)～5.00×10~(-5)mol·L~(-1) were obtained. The limit of detection is 1.00×10~(-8)mol·L~(-1) Al(Ⅲ).

Abstract:A new and convenient method for the rapid determination of aluminum in drinking waters using a.c. oscillopolarography in a lithium chloride system is described in this paper. The calibration graph is linear from 5 x 10 -6 to 8 x 10 -5 mol/L with a detection limit of 5 x 10 -6 mol/L. The relative standard deviation of the method is 4.7% for 4 x 10 -5 mol/L Al. Compared with other techniques, this method has the significant advantages of simple instrumentation, no deaeration procedure required and rapid measurement. It was particularly suitable to the analysis of 10 -6 ~ 10 -5 mol/L levels of Al in drinking waters.

In alkaline buffer solution(pH 8. 8), total monomeric aluminum was determined, and in acidified buffer solution(pH 5. 2), the result was the inorganic monomeric aluminum. In both conditions, sensitive incisions due to the redox reaction of AL-SVRS complex adsorption wave on the hanging mercury drop electrode were observed on the dE/d t-E oscillogram. The incision depths were linearly proportional to the Al concentrations. This method was successfully applied to the analysis of different species of Al in 24 real natural water samples. The results were found to be in good agreement with those obtained by Driscoll' s method. The principle of the proposed method for electrochemical determination of aluminum species was explored by summarizing the previous work and chemical equilibrium calculation.

Abstract:The polyaluminum chloride (PAC) solution and aluminum chloride solution with high (5.4g·L~ -1 ) and low (0.27mg·L~ -1 ) Al concentrations were chromatographed by gel-filtration column, respectively. The conductivity and pH value of the eluted fractions were measured and the aluminium species distribution of the eluted fractions was also analyzed by Ferron assay. The experimental results show that the separation and determination of colloidal aluminum and soluble aluminum in the water samples with high or low Al content can be achieved by gel chromatography. Under the condition that 2.5mL of the studied sample is eluted at a rate of 1 mL·min~ -1 with the gel-filtration device, the eluted fraction from 40mL to 60mL corresponds to the colloidal aluminum and the rest part corresponds to the soluble aluminum. The concentrations of the colloidal aluminum and the soluble aluminum can be achieved by measurement with inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectrometer plus further conversion.

Abstract:The determination method of chromium,arsenic,cadmium,mercury,and lead in alcohol samples by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with microwave digestion was developed.This method was rapid,less interfered,and did not need preconcentrating.The mean contents of Cr,As,Cd,Hg,and Pb in 33 various alcohol samples were 45.84,19.53,2.22,1.92 μg·kg-1,and 115.06 μg·kg-1,respectively,among which Chinese spirits ranked as the top while Chinese rice wine as the bottom.Detection limits of Cr,As,Cd,Hg and Pb were 0.063,0.082,0.007,0.001 μg·L-1 and 0.080 μg·L-1,respectively.The recovery of the above-mentioned elements ranged from 90% to 110% while RSD(n=10) varied between 0.25% and 6.76%.

Abstract:Al-Ferron timed spectrophotometry assay is a basic method in the study on the formation of polynuclear hydroxyl aluminum species and their transformation laws in aqueous systems. In actual working process, this methodology has some dogmatism and arbitrariness in the time limits demarcation of the three kinds of aluminum fractions (Al(a), Al(b) and Al(c)) in polynuclear aluminum solutions, which makes this kind of classification rougher, and the experimental results non-reproducible. The reason for this difference is that the specific species within Al(a), Al(b) and Al(c) have different reaction mechanism and dynamics, and that specific species of Al(b) having different OH/Al ratios have different reaction rates with ferron. In this paper, the ExpAssoc distribution was applied to quantitatively fit the Al-Ferron reaction dynamics curve, and the extrapolation method was used to survey the 1 min measured value [Al(a)] of monomeric Al, which is hard to obtain in manual manipulation. The time demarcation between Al(b) and Al(c) should reach the point of the experimental data curve up to horizontal platform. The microwave-radiated technology was used to fast assay the total aluminum concentration [Al(T)]. With these methods, the contents of monomeric Al(a), polynuclear Al(b) and gel Al(c) can be conveniently and quantitatively measured. It offers a novel method for surmounting the arbitrariness in the measurement of the three kinds of aluminum fractions and the repetitive calculation of Al(a) and Al(b).

Abstract:A very simple and reliable electroanalytical method for the determination of aluminum in drinking waters by a.c. oscillopolarography using solochrome violet RS is described in this paper. In the buffer solution of 0.1 mol dm(-3) NaAc-0.5 mol dm(-3) KCI (pH 5.2) containing 7 x 10(-4) mol dm(-3) SVRS, a sensitive incision due to the redox reaction of Al-SVRS complex adsorption wave on the Hg-film electrode was observed on the dE/dt - E oscillogram. The incision depth was linearly proportional to the Al concentration in the range of 5 x 10(-7) -6 x 10(-5) mol dm(-3) and was used to determine Al quantitatively. The experimental conditions were optimized. No serious interference was found. The detection limit of this method was 2 x 10(-7) mol dm(-3) and the relative standard deviation was 2.2 % for 5 x 10-5 mol dm(-3) Al (n = 10). This method was successfully applied to the analysis of Al in real water samples and the results obtained by the proposed method were found to be in good agreement with the results obtained by the ICP-AES method.

Abstract:A new method is presented utilizing Calcon- (1-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthylazo)-2-naphthol-4-sulphonic acid sodium salt) modified anion exchange resin in a solid-phase extraction (SPE) cartridge for the fast ICP-AES determination of aluminum (Al) fractions in complex environmental samples. It was experimentally revealed that organic monomeric Al-o can be determined using the batch method, and the total monomeric Al-a, fraction can be detected using the column method. Inorganic monomeric Al-i can be obtained easily by subtraction of Al-a - Al-o.
Aluminium determination in foods by using spectrophotometric oxine and flame AAS methods

Abstract:Results of aluminium determinations obtained by employment of N2O-C2H2 flame AAS method and spectrophotometric oxine (SO) method in teas, fresh leaves of celery and some other food samples were compared. The samples were digested for few hours in teflon beakers with use of a mixture of concentrated acids (H2SO4 + HNO3 + HCIO4), and then transported for final destruction into platinum dishes for ashing. The obtained stock sample solutions were used for examination by both methods. The accuracy was checked with recovery test of aluminium added to the samples before decomposition. With employment of AAS-method 83.3% to 100% (mean 94.2 +/- 8.1%) of added aluminium was recovered, and in the SO method from 86.4 to 109.3% (mean 98.6 +/- 5.2%). Great care is necessary for preparation of the blank. Food products containing higher levels of aluminium (i.e. teas and herbs) can be determined directly by the employed AAS-method using 1-2 g of samples for decomposition, while foods containing low levels of aluminium need use of larger samples for decomposition (i.e. 5-10 g or even more than 50 g in the case of strawberry or fresh leaves of celery) and the obtained ash should be dissolved to as low as possible of final volume of stock sample solution. The SO method is about 7 to 10 times more sensitive than the nitrous-oxide flame AAS method and enable to determined about 2.5 micrograms of Al per sample in form of oxine complex extracted into a 5 ml chloroformic phase. In the case of AAS-method the lowest determined level of aluminium amounted about 6 micrograms/ml of the examined sample solution. The results of both methods are strong correlated, as it is showed by the correlation coefficient (r = 0.97) at the level of significance alpha = 0.05.

Abstract:Objective The discussion of the accessibility to measure the aluminium content in puffed food by inductively coupled plasma optical emission-spectrometry (ICP-OES),-microwave-digestion.Methods Using ICP-OES to measure the aluminium content in puffed food after the microwave digestion.Results The RSD of the determination is 4.0%,r2 =0.999 9, the recovery is 88.46%.Conclusion The result determined by ICP-OES gets a low RSD,high linearity,high precision,and simplicity, which implies it a ideal method for determination.

Abstract:A new method for the determination of trace tin(Ⅱ) was described.In this study,a 1-(3-Nitrophenyl)-3(4-phenylazophenyl) triazen(m-NPPAPT) modified carbon paste electrode was prepared and the adsorptive stripping voltammetric behavior of tin(Ⅱ) at the modified electrode was investigated.It was found that in 0.5mol / L HCI solution,a coordination compound formed by m-NP-PAPT with tin(Ⅱ).The compound was accumulated and reduced on the surface of the modified elec-trode at -1200 mV.When scanning linearly was from -1200 mV to -200 mV at a scan rate of 150mV / s,the sensitive anodic stripping peak appeared at -476mV(vs.SCE).The sensitivity of the modified electrode in the determination of tinⅡincreased about eleven-fold.The linear range was found to be 4.0×10 -10-1.0×10 -8 mol / L and 1.0×10 -8-4.0×10 -6 mol / L.The detection limit was 2.7×10 -10 mol / L(S / N=3) for 120saccumulation.The proposed method was satisfactorily applied to the determination of trace tin(Ⅱ) in cans food.

Abstract:Fast determination of five fractions of aluminum(total Al T, acid soluble Al r, total monomeric Al a, inorganic monomeric Al i, organic monomeric Al o) in soil solution samples under acidified and alkalized conditions by a.c.adsorptive oscillochronopotemtiometry in the presence of acid chrome dark blue (ACDB) is presented in this paper. The method is based on the different competitive complexation capacities of ACDB and natural organic matter (NOM) at two pHs 4.9 and 8.0. Inorganic monomeric Al was detected at pH 4.9 (0.5?mol·L -1 NH 4Ac HAc 7×10 -4 ?mol·L -1 ACDB), while total monomeric Al is determined at pH8.0 (0.5?mol·L -1 KCl 0.1?mol·L -1 Na 2B 4O 7 6×10 -4 ?mol·L -1 ACDB). The method was successfully employed to determine five Al fractions in more than ten soil solution samples. The results were in agreement with those of Driscoll's speciation method.

Abstract:The steady-state polarization curves,galvanic current and galvanic potential determination was used to evaluate of the power of galvanic corrosion tendency of aluminum the bottom cover with tin in acidic beverages in this paper.The results showed that:Sn-Al galvanic potential was far less than 200mV in the seal the deaerator acidic beverages solution,and Sn was the anode,Al was cathode,weak even corrosion behavior,combined with aluminum as cathode,and aluminum rendered in the passive state.Therefore,in the state of the acidic beverage cans,corrosion electrochemical behavior still tinplate corrosion process-based,it can be ignore the aluminum tank tinplate bottom and the possibility of occurrence of severe local galvanic corrosion.

Abstract:This paper reports a new and sensitive technique for the fractionation of aqueous aluminum in natural waters by cation-exchange resin, coupled with chloroform extraction/8-hydroxyquinoline fluorimetric determination. Four fractions of aluminum, including total reactive-Al,, total monomeric-Al,, labile monomeric- Al-i (inorganic form), and non-labile monomeric (organic form) Al-o can be determined directly by the proposed method. The acidic soluble Al-r was calculated as the difference between total reactive Al, and total monomeric Al (Al-r-Al-a).Compared with the widely used Driscoll's method (MIBK extraction-GF/AAS), the proposed method possesses some distinct advantages: the toxic forms of aluminum (labile monomeric(1) retained by the resin can be determined directly by fluorimetry.(2) the sensitivity and precision of this method are better than those of Driscoll's.(3) hazardous organic solvent MIBK is no longer used.

Abstract:Fast speciation of aluminum in natural waters by a.c. oscillochronopotenmetry in the presence of eriochrome blue black R(EBBR) is presented in this paper. In 0.5 mol*L-1 NH4Ac-HAc buffer solution(pH 4.6), Al-EBBR complex yields one incision on the dE/dt-E oscillogram at the potential of -0.8 V when adding Al in the solution. The incision depth is linearly proportional to the Al concentration in the range of 8×10-7～6×10-5 mol*L-1. The detection limit is 6×10-7 mol*L-1 and the relative standard deviation is 4.8% for 4×10-5 mol*L-1 Al(n=10). The proposed method has been applied to the direct determination of different forms of Al in natural waters, including total Al, total monomeric Al and inorganic monomeric Al. The results is found to be in good agreement with those obtained by the Driscoll's method.
