Abstract:Single crystals of the title compound, C19H16N2O4, were obtained under hydro-thermal conditions by an unintended recrystallization of the employed microcrystalline starting material. The [(pyridin-4-yl)meth-oxy]benzoic acid unit is nearly planar, with a maximum deviation from the least-squares plane of 0.194 (2) Å. This plane is inclined by 35.82 (6)° to that defined by the second (pyridin-4-yl)meth-oxy group [in which the largest deviation from the least-squares plane is 0.013 (2) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the acid hy-droxy group and a pyridine N atom into chains parallel to [-201].

Abstract:In the title compound, C(16)H(17)ClN(2)O(5), the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 77.36 (4)°. An intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action results in the formation of a planar [r.m.s. deviation = 0.103 (2) Å] five-membered ring, which is oriented at a dihedral angle of 4.84 (4)° with respect to the adjacent benzene ring. In the crystal structure, weak intermolecular C-H⋯π inter-actions are found.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].

Abstract:The title compound C11H10O4 has been synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c with a = 12.136(1), b = 5.559.(1), c = 14.615(2) Angstrom, beta = 96.758(3)degrees, V = 979.1(3) Angstrom(3), Z = 4, M-r = 206.19, D-c = 1.399 g/cm(3), F(000) = 432 and mu(MoKalpha) = 0.107 mm(-1). The structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares techniques to the final R = 0.0453 and wR = 0.0990. X-ray analysis reveals that the compound is a stable enol with a big conjugated system, and an intramolecular hydrogen bond makes the enol more stable.

Abstract:The title compound, C(24)H(23)ClO(4), is a potent insecticide and miticide. The five-membered cyclo-pentane ring displays an envelope conformation with the atom at the flap position 0.611 (2) Å out of the mean plane formed by the other four atoms. The furan ring makes dihedral angles of 71.3 (2) and 81.9 (2)°, respectively, with the 2,4,6-trimethyl-phenyl and 4-chloro-phenyl rings. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 76.6 (1)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains running along the c axis.
