Abstract:Single crystals of the title compound, C19H16N2O4, were obtained under hydro-thermal conditions by an unintended recrystallization of the employed microcrystalline starting material. The [(pyridin-4-yl)meth-oxy]benzoic acid unit is nearly planar, with a maximum deviation from the least-squares plane of 0.194 (2) Å. This plane is inclined by 35.82 (6)° to that defined by the second (pyridin-4-yl)meth-oxy group [in which the largest deviation from the least-squares plane is 0.013 (2) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the acid hy-droxy group and a pyridine N atom into chains parallel to [-201].

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C9H9N3O2S2, were obtained from a condensation reaction of S-methyl dithiocarbazate and 3-nitrobenzaldehyde. The planar dithiocarbazate moiety subtends an angle of 10.54 ( 8)degrees with respect to the plane of the nitrophenyl ring. Electron delocalization occurs between the imino and dithiocarboxyl groups. The partially overlapped arrangement of parallel benzene rings of neighboring molecules, with a face-to-face distance of 3.343 ( 8) angstrom, suggests the existence of pi-pi stacking.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(16)H(17)ClN(2)O(5), the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 77.36 (4)°. An intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action results in the formation of a planar [r.m.s. deviation = 0.103 (2) Å] five-membered ring, which is oriented at a dihedral angle of 4.84 (4)° with respect to the adjacent benzene ring. Abstract:The title compound, C19H17N3O3S, was synthesized via the reaction of 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-ylsulfanyl) benzoic acid and aniline in dichloromethane using dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as catalyst. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine plane and the planes of the two benzene rings are 71.2 (2) and 62.7 (2)degrees; the dihedral angle between the planes of the two benzene rings is 68.4 (4)degrees. The conformation of the compound is U-shaped.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H18BrN3O3, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-methanesulfonyl-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine and N-(2-bromophenyl)-2-hydroxybenzylamine in tetrahydrofuran. There are three different planes in the molecule, each of which is conjugated.
