Abstract:On January 22 to 23, 2015, the tenth theory seminar of Higher Education Association of Jiangsu Open Education was held in Jiangsu Open University.At the conference, professor Sang Xin-min, the leader of e-learning and management institute of Nanjing University made an academic report.An in-depth review was then followed on the topic of"Challenges and Opportunities of Education Informationization at the New Stage—A Tough Battle of Open University Course and Study Way Innovation"by the journalist from Journal of Jiangsu Open University.An important symbol of education informationization entering a new phase is the occurence of MOOCs, in which how the Open University of China should deal with the challenges and opportunities, and real-ize the innovation development of the curriculum and teaching.In this interview, professor Sang xin-min revealed the college courses, teaching, evaluation and management changes caused by MOOCs through deeply analyzing the essence, motivation, and value of MOOCs, systematically expounded the new mode of opening school based on generating learning theory and pursuit of green study—the theory and practice of Tai chi school, put forward the objective of designing and creating highly efficient open university of the 21st century with Chinese characteristics, which presented the theoretical wisdom and practice experience of his and his team's, strengthened the understanding and discussion of Open University construction, and benefited readers.
