Study on the status of the operation of the health inspection function in 81 city-level health inspection agencies in 9 provinces

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the implementation of the health inspection function and items of health supervision agencies at the city level,based on the explication of the practical operational degree of items carried out by those agencies.Methods:81 city level agencies were investigated through stratified cluster sampling to provide the information about the operational proportion of the health inspection function and items as well as the practical operational degree of items carried out by the sample agencies.Results:1) for the sample agencies,the average operational degree of items carried was 58.4%;east areas 62.4%,middle areas 59.7%,west areas 53.4%;of all the 11 functions,the average operational degree of case investigation function was the highest,while that of health license function the lowest.2) for the sample agencies,the average rate of implementation was 37.3% only;east areas 39.3%,middle areas 38.4%,west areas 34.1%;of all the 11 functions,the average rate of implementation of case investigation function was the highest,while that of health license function the lowest.Conclusion:For agencies at the city level,the implemented rate of health inspection and supervision functions was generally lower,varyied in functions.
