Abstract:Objective To study the adaptation of porcelain fused to-metal crown made from non-precious Alloys.Methods Twenty crowns were fabricated with non-precious-alloy. Then the marginal adaptation before and after cementing and the cement thickness were measured with stereomicroscope. The relation ship between the adaptation of porcelain fused to-metal crown and the cement thickness was analysed.Results The marginal adaptation was increased by cementing.Conclusion The experiment showed that: ①There was a linear relationship between the clearance of crown margin after and before cementing, but there was no a linear relationship between the increment of the clearance after cementing and the clearance before cementing. ②Cementing affected the adaptation of porcelain fused to-metal crown.
